Science Fest: “Festival Della Scienza, 2022”
“Science is a way of thinking, much more than it is a body of knowledge”
Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram hosted its Annual Inter-School Science Festival, ‘Festival Della Scienza, 2022’ on 04 February 2022 via the virtual Google Meet platform. The event was organised, in collaboration with the Biology Department, Chemistry Department and Physics Department. A total of 40 schools actively participated in this dynamic event, showcasing their thirst for knowledge.
The Event saw the science enthusiasts from different schools get together to share their common interest in science and take it a step ahead by participating in various competitions. In the Welcome Meet, the Principal, the VIce-Principals, and the Heads of Departments addressed the gathering. They commended the students and teachers for organising an event that encourages testing the nuances of learning. Moreover, they congratulated the participants, wishing them luck in their respective competitions. Consequently, the events were introduced and the various departments showcased their creativity by releasing their magazines.
Rappresentare
A role play competition for Grade VI to VIII students tested their creativity and pushed them to explore their interest in science. The participants enacted famous scientists, recounting their contributions to their fields. The event was assessed by an esteemed panel of judges- Dr Benjamin Baby Johnson, a consultant at Apollo Hospital, Dr Archit Singh, a consultant at Raghavan’s Dental Clinic, Dr Shweta Aghi, a consultant at PGIMER and Mr Vinayak Birla, an assistant director and production manager.
Mostrare
The students of Grade IX and X explained and carried out scientific experiments in real life. The participants were pushed to innovate and think scientifically. The event was judged by Dr. Pragya Gahlot, Dr. Richa Misra, Dr. Aloke Goel and Dr. Smriti Sharma Bhatia on the basis of their clarity of concept, materials used, presentation and more.
Esprimere
Esprimere was an event which gave the students of class XI and XII the opportunity to display their agility and fluency in the sciences by preparing a 90 second creative presentation in the span of 30 minutes based on three pictures assigned to them on the spot. The event was judged by Dr. S. Vivek Adhish, Dr. Rajat Saxena, Dr. Perumal Jayraj and Mr. Ansh Patel.
