Zone 19 (DOE) Athletic meet was held at Thyagraj stadium from 11th to 14th sept. 2019. Rishabh Sharma won (U-14 boys) gold medals in 100 mtr. and 200 mtr. race and was declared the best Athlete in the U-14 boys category. Tushar Sharma won (U-19 boys) a gold medal in the 400 mtr race and won a bronze medal in the 200 mtr race and selected to participate in the SGFI game held at Sangrur Punjab.
Inter School Science Fest-Extravaganza
A team of two students from DPS RK Puram participated in the inter school science fest – EXTRAVAGANZA held on 20th and 21st August at Frank Anthony School, New Delhi. The team from DPS RK Puram of Vedant Garg and Aditya Agarwal of Class XII emerged triumphant in the Math Meet Quiz which tested the student’s knowledge in various fields including combinatorics, number theory and basic trivia. There were two rounds and 6 teams qualified for the final round. The aim of the event was to promote the beauty and fun nature of pure Mathematics.
Winners Biology Festival “Anthea”
Students of DPS RKPuram participated enthusiastically in the Interschool Biology Festival, ‘Anthea’, organised by Cambridge School, Indirapuram held on 27th August 2019. Siddhant Parekh and Abhishek Agarwal won the first prize in Group Discussion; Ashwin and Aayan Hidol bagged second position in the Biology Quiz. Devyani Gildiyal showed her photography skills and won the third prize. The overall trophy for the event was won DPS RKPuram.
Razzmatazz 2019
A state level Western Music competition was held at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar on 19th August, 2019. 21 top schools from around the state participated in the competition. The team from DPS RK Puram bagged the 1st position in Band and 3rd position is group categories respectively. The bassist of the band Priyansh Gupta of class 10 was awarded the best bassist and Pranay Verma of class 11 was awarded best guitarist. The Team also won the Overall Trophy of the steep competition.

Apoorva Jaiswal and Aditya Mohan Srivastava of class XII-O participated in ECOM-PARV ’19 held at D.P.S. Gurugram, sector 45 on 17th August 2019 and bagged the second position in the event Stockathon.
Luminaire-Sanskrit Declamation Competition
The Mother’s International School hosted the event ‘Luminaire’ on Friday, 9th of July,2019 with five different competitions. 18 schools participated in the event and Parth Kumar of class IX K won the 2nd position in the Sanskrit Declamation Competition.
IEO – the International English Olympiad
The IEO or the International English Olympiad is conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation with the British Council for classes 6 to 12 every year. This year the Olympiad will be held on the 15th of October 2019 after school from 2.30 to 3.30 pm in the school premises. Participation in the Olympiad is not mandatory.

All India IPSC Chess Boys Championship
All India IPSC Chess Boys Championship was held at DPS Mathura Road New Delhi from 20 to 22 July 2019.DPS RK Puram won the Overall Championship. In the Team Event DPS RK Puram U-14 Boys won the Gold Medal, U-17 Boys and U-19 Boys Won Silver Medals. In Individual Championship Shivansh Gupta won a Gold medal and Samedh won a Silver Medal. In U-14 Boys Championship and U-17 Boys Vaibhav Mondal Won a Silver Medal in Individual Championship. Saurav, Vaibhav Mondal, Shivansh Gupta and Samedh Won the Board Prizes.
