CLASS IX OPEN HOUSE 2021-22

A Virtual Open House for the parents of class IX was organized on 9, 11, 16, 17 and 18 August, 2021 between 2:00 – 5:00 pm each day. The interaction was conducted over the Google Meet platform. The parents interacted with each subject on a one to one basis and touched base regarding the online classes. Emphasis was laid on the regularity of the child in the class and the importance of regular practice.  Parents were appreciative of the efforts made by school and all the teachers.They were given an opportunity to share suggestions and resolve their queries. It was a successful interaction with 92% of parents attending the session.

Winners in Samskrit Saptaah

To promote the cultural language Samskrit Bharati, Delhi organised sanskrit week from 19th to 25th of August , in which the students from different schools and regions across the country participated enthusiastically. Aairah Sultan and Avani Kumar of Class VII-A secured Second positions in  the “Slogan writing competition” where  students were asked to write and present slogans on the importance of Sanskrit language and Environment .

Also, in the event “Geet Gayan Pratiyogita” Adya Srivastava of class X-J secured the Third position.

Topic: Janmashtami

vasudevasutaṃ devaṃ, kaṃsacāṇūramardanam

devakī paramānandaṃ, kṛishnam vaṃde jagadgurum ”

With this shloka  as the central thought the students of X H  presented their virtual class presentation on Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna. The  presentation commenced with Yashvardhan Singh welcoming the audience followed by a short prayer by Riya Mittal. Next was a soulful rendition of the shloka by Spurti. Aakansha, Krish Saxena  and  Aquib Javed Mir presented inspiring thoughts for the day. Venya Lal delivered a short speech on the history of celebrating Jnamanshatmi. Apoorva  Dhanesh and Bhuvi Malhotra elaborated on the teachings of Lord Krishna and its positive impact on their lives. Harsh Singh recited a  beautiful poem in Hindi  on Krishna’s life. Nirvaan Dongre presented a beautiful musical composition . Spurti recited a self composed poem dedicated to Lord Krishna, the human incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The presentation concluded  with Janak Nandwani  who spoke about the significance of the day, the triumph of  good over evil. The vote of thanks was delivered by Samvidha Singhal . The creative invite was designed by Riya Mittal  and the power point presentation was created by Ishwaaku.

Assembly XI-F 27 August 2021

Topic – “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA”- FROM HARDSHIPS TO STARS

C.N Lewis has aptly said “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an  extraordinary destiny”. This quote successfully summarizes the spirit of  sportsmanship that is adhered by a sports person. Sports is an integral part of one’s  life and it triumphantly teaches the basic virtues of life including tenacity,  teamwork, discipline along with many others. It contributes to the development of  physical fitness, mental health and boosts self-esteem. Acknowledging these  qualities of sports, the students of class XI-F dedicated their class presentation on the occasion of National Sports Day celebrated on 29th August every year. 
The class presentation was set on motion with a thoughtful Sanskrit shloka on the  importance of sports recited and explained by Vedant Sood. Then the compere Anuva Bhagirath gave an introductory speech on the topic. The compere  called upon Vandita Jain for an enlightening thought for the day, accompanied by  a special mention of the Olympic Heroes of India. Followed this, an English prayer seeking guidance and support from God, composed and recited by Priyang Mohan Lal and Veronika Dhingra. Post that an insight to the topic and a tribute to the Flying Sikh Milkha Singh was given by Ritwik Sethi and Vaibhav Saran Mehra accompanied by a self-composed poem recited by Vaibhav Saran Mehra. Thereafter, the compere called upon Avni Dhir for a soulful and dulcet musical rendition. The presentation was concluded with a vote of thanks by Arshya Baweja. The e-invite was prepared by Riaa Sehgal and Ananya Asthana. The background music is played and well-crafted by Rajdeep Agarwal and the presentation was designed and compiled by Madhav Dogra.

Topic: NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

Sports and games are an integral part of our life and have become a way of life for a healthy and fit India. Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a young athlete. Where else can a young impressionable youth learn values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice and accountability and to remain fit? 

To mark the significance of sports, the students of Class VI H prepared their class presentation on National Sports Day which is celebrated on 29 August every year. The presentation commenced with a thought provoking quote by Aanya Aggarwal and proceeded on to a prayer by Arundhati Pradhan. A speech on the origin of National Sports Day as well as on the importance of sports was delivered by various students of the class, including Medhansh Chotrani, Ananya Malhotra, Ritika Sharma, Showaiz Noor Ahmad, Shifa Khanam and Arhaan Sharma. Taking the theme into consideration, Vanshika Gehlot shared the thought for the day. In addition, Ananya Goyal presented a zestful song, “Hall of Fame” and Atharva Nawani recited a self-composed poem which paid tribute to the great national sports players. The presentation concluded with a few inspiring words delivered by Ragini Singh and finally, a vote of thanks by Vani Menon.
