Vishwa Bharti Public School, Noida organized Dhanwati Shambhunath Ambardar Online Interschool Sanskrit Competition on Saturday, 14th August 2021. Anushri Kabi, student of Class VI A participated in the Shlokochcharan Competition and secured the 3rd position.

2nd Prize-Expressions 2021-Army Public School-Stotra Gayan Competition

Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, New Delhi organized an Annual Event called “Expressions 2021” on Friday, 6th August 2021. Anika Goel of  Class VIII C  participated in the Stotra Gayan Competition and secured the 2nd position. 60 schools participated in this competition from all over India.

GOLD TROPHY IN THE LIT FEST 2021-22

Sapphire International School, Noida organised an annual literary event called “The Lit Fest” from 21st to 22nd of August 2021. Mihika Singh of Class XJ and Diya Bhaumik of Class VII A bagged the 1st position in Mahabharat Patra Abhinay Pratiyogita and Shloka Gayan Pratiyogita respectively. Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram bagged the overall gold trophy in this event.

Logo Designing Workshop and Competition

Event : Logo Designing Workshop

Date : September 18, 2021

The logo designing workshop was conducted on September 18 2021 by the Art Department for the 50th anniversary celebration of  Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Zeba Khan, Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator at Pearl Academy, Delhi. The workshop indeed was a very delightful learning experience for the students. The students were introduced to the basics, history, designing, branding and related concepts for creating a logo. Knowledge of different softwares was shared too followed by a practical session on Designing a Tourism logo from scratch. A question and answer session was also conducted which helped students to clear their doubts. 

The session concluded by thanking the Principal, Vice-Principals, Headmistress and Support team for providing the platform for the workshop that enriched the learning experience of students and Ms Monika Garg, Sr. Manager for coordinating the same from Pearl Academy.

Event : Logo Designing Competition

Date : September 20, 2021

The Logo Designing Workshop was followed by a Logo Designing Competition where the students showcased their creativity. The event started at 4:00 p.m., for the students of Classes X, XI and XII. The participants created a Logo based on the Theme ‘Celebrating 50 Years of DPS RK Puram’ that was pre-announced . The time allotted was 1 hour 30 minutes. The event was conducted on Google meet with the participation of 33 students from classes X to XII.

The submissions were judged on the basis of Relevance, Idea/Creativity,Visual Appeal/Impact by a team of Senior Faculty Members.

The students of Art Club helped in organising and also compèred both the events under the  able guidance of Mr Amit Rajput (HOD Art Department) and Teachers of Art department Ms Jatinder Kaur and Mr Shiven Singh Tanwar.

Assembly XI-B (03-09-2021)

Topic: “Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future” Our Pillars; Our Teachers

Teachers have constantly inspired and motivated the students. On September 3rd, class XI-B took the opportunity to pay their respect to all the teachers, who have given their utmost contribution in shaping the future of students. The class presentation commenced with a shloka recited by Prarthna Prakash with Sephel. Gyamba and Kshitija Sharma introduced the topic. Tanu Ranjan and Shruti Prasad recited a beautiful prayer, after which Mihika Mishra, Bhavneet Kaur, Abhik Bhardwaj, Arnav Grover and Vidyaansh Kohli presented a short play on Machine teachers vs Human teachers, highlighting the importance of our own teachers. Manasvi Bhandari gave a speech of appreciation for teachers and Divija Arora recited a self-composed poem on the same. Tanu Ranjan and Shruti Prasad presented a soulful song on the theme. A speak-up in Hindi was performed by Riya Mehraj and Arushi Powari. The entire class contributed heartfelt quotes on Teacher’s day and thanked all the teachers for their selfless service .Aesha Walia concluded the presentation. Powerpoint presentation was made by Ishaanvi Aggarwal, Abhinav Tiwari, Prarthna Prakash and Sidrah Hasan. The eye-catching e-invite was designed by Rashika Dey.

Assembly VII-B (02-09-2021)

Topic: The Protector of the Realms

God comes to this world in many forms and blesses us in different disguises. Class VII B celebrated the benevolence of Lord Ganesha who is the harbinger of good fortune, the Lord of prosperity and the patron of intellectuals. The class presentation began with a hymn recited by Akansh. Abia and Kavya were the comperes. The morning prayer was sung by Vineeta. Thoughts on Ganesha were shared by Harshul and Aditya. This was followed by a speech about Ganesh Chaturthi by Pia and Shashank. A self composed poem on Lord Ganesha was recited by Akansh. Advika narrated the story about how Lord Ganesha became worthy of the first worship. The instrumental (Guitar) presentation by Anasuya Wadhwa. The presentation concluded with a vote of thanks by Saisha Khurana. The e-invite and the power point presentation were made by Akansh, Wageesha, Lakshman, Saanvi, Milind and Shanika.

Topic: Teachers’ Day

“The duties of a teacher are neither few nor small, but they elevate our mind and give energy to our character”, said Dorothea Dix. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the students of class IX-E took the opportunity to express gratitude towards their teachers via their class presentation.
The comperes Advika Harisukh, Ishaan Kashyap began the class presentation with an energetic greeting, followed by a soulful guru vandana sung by Prarthana Ranjan and Rakhee Maiti. The shlok was recited by Krishna and explained by Anamika. Huma Jasmine provided us with food for thought in the form of a profound quotation by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. This was followed by a poem written by Prarthana Ranjan and recited by Ananta Rai. Saksham Joshi’s speech informed the listeners about why 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day. The presentation concluded with a play that explicated the importance of teachers and how they are the guiding lights in our lives. It was written by Tanishqaa Manocha and performed by Joel Augustine, Sawan Singh, Vrinda Goyal, Yashika Tewatia, Tanishqaa Manocha and Vansh Goyal. The overall compilation, PPT and the invitation card were done by Yashika Tewatia.

INTERSCHOOL BIOTECHNOLOGY MEET 2021

The 15th Sadhu Vaswani inter-school biotechnology meet for classes XI and XII was held on 24 of August 2021 which  aims to promote an interest in science and scientific thinking that extends beyond the classroom. 
Fifteen schools sent  one participant each to make a presentation on one of four topics, all related to the present pandemic.
1. Being Productive during the Pandemic-Vaccine development 
2. Genome Sequencing of Coronavirus-How Useful?
3. Extrapolating the 3 wave of Covid- A Statistical Analysis 
4. Effectiveness of Covid drugs- A Comparative Analysis 
Each of the participants came up with phenomenal presentations and made the event a glowing success.
Eshanya Gupta of class 12-D won the  first place. 

Antheia’21- Cambridge School Indirapuram

The students of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram participated in ‘Antheia 21’- The Annual Biology Fest organized by Cambridge School, Indirapuram. It was an online competition held on August 26, 2021. 29 schools of Delhi NCR competed in the events.The competition featured 4 events, each comprising two rounds. After the preliminary round, a selected number of teams qualified for the final round. 3 teams from D.P.S R.K. Puram won the event.
