CLASS IX VIRTUAL ORIENTATION PROGRAMME(2021-22)

A Virtual Orientation programme was organised for the parents of class IX students on Saturday 17 April 2021.

The purpose of the Orientation Programme was to introduce the parents to the respective class teachers and subject teachers as well as to introduce them to the curriculum of the various subjects. 

The Principal, Ms Padma Srinivasan addressed the parents and advised them  to  ensure that their wards attend all the classes regularly and  follow a routine in tough times. She informed that the curriculum will be based on the Competency Based Learning and Experiential Learning as given in the New Educational Policy

The Headmistress, Ms.Rashmi Malhotra  emphasized on the importance of the discipline to be followed while attending virtual classes. The Class Representatives spoke about the rules that the students need to follow while attending the virtual classes in order to make them successful.

The Class teachers explained the code of conduct to the parents about virtual ethos to be followed by their ward. Each subject teacher, thereafter introduced themselves and gave a brief introduction of their subject along with providing information about the text-books to be referred , course content etc, for the same. The session ended with the class teachers thanking the parents for participating enthusiastically in the programme and understanding the ethos of the school. 74 % of the parents attended the orientation programme.

Topic- “Let the Light of hope enlighten us this Baisakhi”

The Theme of the class presentation infuses positivism and faith that the ray of good tidings will bring dispelling darkness and negativity. Ushering of the New Year being celebrated in various parts of India especially Baisakhi in Punjab highlighting hope and joy is portrayed through the well researched speech by Shivesht Sharma,Ujjawal Tiwari,Aarav Shrivastava and Aashi Slug.Thought for the day was by Kashvi Agarwal.The self composed poem was by Anoushka Bakshi who had also written a captivating poem blending it with the theme. Akshit had played the Sitar beautifully with the hymn presented by Brian Abraham Varghese who had  also sung melodiously ”Bringing in the Sheaves”.Madhav Gupta was the compere and had beautifully crafted the class presentation by bringing together all this digitally along with the invite .

Topic- Spring- The Tulip Festival

On the vibrant occasion of the Tulip Festival, students of 12F staged a presentation on the topic ‘Spring’. Marking the onset of Tulip Festival, they signified the spring as the start of all things new. The presentation was led through by Jiya Malik and Lakshya Aggrawal. Followed by a shloka recited by Janaki Kumar. Then, Shamayita Biswas and Drishti Joshi presented a speech on ‘the Love of Spring and Tulips’. A soul-stirring song was performed by Riddhin Grover, followed by a self composed poem recited by Vaishnavi. Then, an instrumental ensemble was played by Aryaman Chandra, Siddhartha Thakur and Varun Bharti. Finally, the thought for the day was shared by Arnav Vig.

Class Assembly XII-K (15-04-2021)

Vaisakhi (or Baisakhi) is the harvest festival of Punjab. Vaisakhi is symbolic of new beginnings and fills the heart of every Indian with joy and hope. It also has religious significance for the Sikhs, as it marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year and commemorates the creation of the Khalsa Panth under the pious leadership of Sh. Guru Gobind Singh. The presentation by the class began with a soulful prayer sung by Manya Bhandari that began everyone’s day on a devotional note. Keerthana Panchanathan recited a beautiful Sanskrit shlok, followed by a detailed explanation of what it meant. This was followed by an inspirational thought for the day by Sainka Walia and a melodious self-composed poem by Keerthana that aptly described the great pomp with which Vaisakhi is celebrated. The presentation ended with a speech on Vaisakhi by Riddhi Khurana, Shireen Sengupta, and Ishaan Singh. The compere, Aditya Gupta, presented a vote of thanks. The slides were compiled and designed by Mehhar Sodhi and Garrv Jain.

VIRTUAL ORIENTATION SESSION FOR CLASS XII-(2021-22)

A Virtual Orientation session was held for the parents of students of class XII on 10th  April 2021 from 5PM onwards. The parents met the Principal Ms. Padma Srinivasan, the Vice Principal Ms. Renu Nayar ,class representatives, class teachers and the subject teachers in the virtual google classrooms. The Principal , Ms Padma Srinivasan addressed the parents and requested them to make sure that their ward attends all the classes regularly and that they follow a routine in tough times under covid-19 situation. The Vice Principal, Dr. Renu Nayar,  addressed the issue of discipline to be followed while attending virtual classes in all the virtual rooms. She highlighted that in case of any problem, the parent may contact the Class Teacher or the Class Rep for its solution. The Reps welcomed the parents by stressing upon the need for updating the paraphernalia for virtual education as it is now the part and parcel of learning. The Class teachers shared the screen and gave the mobile numbers of all the subject teachers and explained the code of conduct to the parents about virtual ethos to be followed by their ward. Each subject teacher thereafter gave a brief introduction about their subject along with the books, course content and break up of marks. The session ended by answering the query of the parents. The session proved to be fruitful and constructive in bringing the parents closer to the ethos of the school. 64%  parents attended the orientation programme .

Class X Virtual Orientation Program (2021-22)

An online orientation program was organised for the parents of Class X students on 10 April, 2021. 

The orientation program focussed on introducing the parents to the respective subject teachers, to share the curriculum of various subjects, scheme of studies and acquaint the parents with the framework and processes of the online classes being conducted for the students.

The Principal, Ms. Padma Srinivasan addressed the parents and requested them to ensure that their ward attends the online classes regularly and are monitored under their guidance. The importance of being in regular contact with the subject teachers was reiterated.

The Headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra emphasised on the value of discipline in the online classes and the need for the involvement of parents in the learning process of their wards. She informed the parents about the school counselors who can be contacted in case any assistance is required. The Class Representatives spoke about the rules that the students needed to follow while attending the virtual classes in order to make them successful.

The Class teachers explained the code of conduct to the parents relating to virtual ethos to be followed by their ward. 

The session ended with the class teachers thanking the parents for participating enthusiastically in the program and understanding the ethos of the school.

The program witnessed participation from 84% of parents.

Assembly X-K 13-04-2021

Topic- Ugadi ( Gudi Padwa)

The class presentation commenced with wishes for happy beginnings for everyone by Riddhima Tangri, followed by an energetic welcome by Siddhartha Verma.  Later, a melodious prayer-’tuhi Ram hein,tu Rahim hein’- was soulfully sung by Sumaiyah Anis. Advait Jaipuria then delved deeper into the significance of the topic with the thought for the day following which Aishanya Sangwan shared her thoughts on the topic through a  self composed poem. Diva Vats and Abhyuday Vadhera delivered thought provoking speeches .The presentation ended with an alluring shloka by Annanya Gupta. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Rohan Chugh.The presentation was made by Annanya Gupta, who also compiled the audios and designed beautiful e-invites.

Topic-The Beginning is always Now’

On the occasion of Baisakhi , students of 12N presented ‘The beginning is always now’. They related baisakhi as the harvest festival heralding the end of a year and the beginning of another as an opportunity for a fresh start. The presentation was introduced  by Ashmi Shriya who has put the whole programme together along with Sarthak Goel . Seetha K and Sanya Thakur sang a beautiful prayer ‘ Subah savere le kar tera naam Prabhu’. Saniya Asif presented the thought for the day. Inspiring speeches  in English by Shagun Shrivastava and one in Hindi by Ketavpriya Bansal were given to motivate everyone to start new ventures.A hymn was recited by Ashmi Shriya along with its message .Pratyush Singh recited an inspiring self composed poem. A group song in English was performed by Sanya Thakur, ArshiaJain, and Mohammad Nauman Shahid.Finally a vote of thanks was said by Pearl Dhingra.
