ONLINE WELLNESS DELEGATE PROGRAMME

Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad organized a National Online Wellness Delegate Program on 11th and 12th of October 2021.This program was based on the theme:Mental Health In An Unequal World . The students who participated in this programme were Parmarth Gupta – Anecdotes (Case Study Analysis) Izeen Hussain – Dodgers (Brochure) Nysa Kaur Kohli – Impatica (PowerPoint Presentation) Prerna Aggarwal – Poesy (Poetry Writing) Disha Khanna – Page Turner (Web Page) Saaniya Makandar – Spoof (Comic Strip)

Through these engaging and fun activities, the students were able to connect on a deep level with the concepts based on mental health.This event also made them aware of  different mental disorders, ways to identify them, and methods of  dealing with them and helping  people going through such issues.Parmarth Gupta took the lead in his activity and prepared a detailed Case Study Analysis Report for the entire group and presented it.Izeen Hussain prepared a brochure highlighting mental wellness.

Through this truly enriching experience, the students got a better outlook on the importance of Mental well-being and its relevance in the current world. 

Teacher incharges for this event were Ms Shalini Chanana and Ms Neelam Ajwani,under the guidance of Ms Niva Chhonkar ,Biology Head of Department .

Assembly VIII-K (21-10-2021)

Topic: World Food Day

The class presentation commenced with an introduction of the topic by Saanvi goel. This was followed by a prayer ‘ Teri hai zameen tera asmaan ’ sung by Annya ahuja. Then a sanskrit shloka was recited and explained by Samika gupta. Thereafter, Hridhya Bhatiani presented a thought for the day in English . A beautiful self composed poem by Kaavya Sharma left the listeners spellbound. This was followed by a thought provoking story by Manya Lalani that truly captured the essence of the theme. Then few facts about food and hunger were shared by Prachi dua. Finally, Ishika Anand concluded the presentation with a vote of thanks. The e-invite, presentation and audio compilation was done by Neelanjana Maggo, Ishanya Anand and Zonish Siddiqui.

Topic: Dussehra

Dussehra- the victory of good over evil. Just like a diamond lacerate other diamonds, the same way it’s good that minces down evil. With this perception the students of class VIII-D  celebrated the soulful festival of Dussehra, the day on which two of the most important events in Hindu Mythology occurred   that is- the The slaying of Ravana by Shri Rama and the slaying of Mahishasura by Devi Durga. The assembly commenced with a welcome by Arihant Kumar. Then a melodious prayer was presented by Inayat Kaur Bajaj after which Chhavi Tokas enlightened us with the thought for the day. Then Shivin Sareen presented the  Devi slokas.Aishani Sharma presented a self-composed poem on Dashrath Manjhi who emerged victorious over a mountain. Tanmaya Sharma then enlightened us with new facts about this festival. Pranav Trivedi then told us about the  morals they provide us with.  Aksita Mangal spoke about Mahishasura Mardini. The vote of thanks was delivered by Arihant Kumar. The creative invite and the assembly presentation was designed by Priyanka Nasa, Yashika Kanojia,Shaurya Malhotra and Arihant Kumar.

Topic: Durga Puja

Durga Puja celebrations infuse our hearts and minds with positivity and zeal. To enlighten us on its significance, the students of IX-M prepared an enriching presentation. It commenced with a cheerful greeting by Aditya Singh followed by a prayer by Vanya and an inspiring shloka by Sanvi Sehgal and Samriddhi Bahadur. Vivaan Misra and Aryaman Madan presented “thought for the day” in Spanish and English. A talk show about Durga Puja, scripted by Ruhee Tandan was hosted by Saanvi Taneja where Anay Seth, Lakshita Popli, Sanaa Kalra, and Ekam Singh had a lively discussion on eco-friendly celebration and significance of the festival. Naysa Punhani reminded the Indian woman to overcome her fear and venture into new horizons. Siyona Arora melodiously portrayed women’s empowerment with a song. Inesh Loomba , Advay Narayan and Ahaan Gupta enthralled us with great instrumental music. Madhav Behl, Shreyansh Gupta and Ishan Gupta acted as comperes. Rishita gave the vote of thanks. The beautiful handmade invites were created by Aashna, Aryaman and Avni .The digital invite by Ayaan Chopra, presentation slides by Siyona Arora and audio editing by Abhaas Arora.

Topic:    World Food Day: 

“Our actions are our future- Better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life”

The food we choose and the way we consume it affects our health and that of our planet. In order to mark the anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, World Food Day is annually celebrated across the globe on 16th October. The objective of this day is not only to commemorate food, but also to raise awareness about the people who do not have such a privilege. The presentation commenced with an introduction by Eva Singh and Pratishtha Batra, followed by a soulful morning prayer sung by Ananya Goel. Vedansh Jain then delivered a divine shloka succeeded by an enlightening thought given by Jheel Kshirin. Subsequently, a conversation between Manya Sachdeva, Shireen Rajora, Shriya Sandilya, Swastik Agrawal and Ananya Vashist highlighted the significance of eating according to our appetite and fostering a positive relationship with food. The conversation transcended into a cheerful song, melodiously sung by Pratishtha Batra and Aryan Sharma, accompanied by Jheel Kshirin and Chaitanya Goel with the acoustics. The presentation concluded with the vote of thanks by Chaitanya Goel. The E-invites were designed by Eva Singh,Aarav Mangla and Advik Gupta. Gunjan Ruhal and Gaureka Khurana designed the aesthetic presentation. The audio compilation was done by Bhuvnesh Nagpal, Divyansh and Aryan Khandelwal.

TOPIC : Retracing the Road of Peace and Non-violence

As said by GandhiJi ” My Life is My Message ” and to reminisce and retrace the path of Gandhian values of peace, non violence and nobility which secured the triumph of Indians over British to establish an Independent India, the students of Class IX-I took the opportunity to present their virtual class presentation on ” Retracing the road of Peace and Non Violence” . The class presentation commenced with a zealous greeting by the comperes Tia Dutta and Lakshay Tanwar. A reverent prayer sung by Pratiti Mehndiratta was followed by an inspiring thought by Anant Dev and Siddhi Pandey and a soulful Sanskrit Shloka by Kanak Ahuja whose translation was provided by Stuti Dixit. The speakers Medha Singh, Arkayan Goswami, Arunima Sharma and Vansh Kumar Kain brought forth the scintillating ethics and morals of Gandhiji’s life that aid each human being to emerge from a human to humane. An idyllic self composed poem was presented by Navya Wadhwa followed by a vote of thanks by Mahira Kohli. The Power Point presentation was made by Vishesh Chaurasia while the invite was designed by Garima Agarwal and Vishesh Chaurasia.
