Topic- Have An Attitude Of Gratitude

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” Gratitude indeed plays a very big role in making our lives beautiful. That is why we chose the topic “Have an attitude of Gratitude” for our class Presentation and hope to have conveyed the message of ‘starting each day with a positive mindset and a grateful heart’.

The class presentation commenced  with a meaningful Sanskrit mantra by Auparna Chandraa. Manish Rajali described it in English. This was followed by a warm welcome by Arshia Datta. After this, a prayer to evoke the blessings of God was sung by Auparna Chandraa. The thought for the day was spoken by Anuva Agarwal (english) and Vibhuti Bora (hindi), while a self-composed poem was composed and recited by Riddhi Sahaye. After this a Short story with a moral, based on the topic was narrated by Divyanshi Singh. This was followed by a song by Auparna Chandraa. After this was an enlightening speech by Arshia Datta, introducing that 25th November is the International Day for the End of Violence Against Women. The presentation concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Arshika Singh. Sneha Purohit designed the E-cards. The presentation was prepared by Arshia Datta, who also edited and compiled the audios.

Class Presentation IX-N 25-11-2020

Topic-Kannada Rajyotsava Day

The golden heritage and the spirit of Karnataka was beautifully captured and presented by the students of IX N in their class presentation on Kannada Rajyotsava Day. It is celebrated as the day when all Kannada language speaking regions of South India were merged to form Karnataka in 1956. The presentation commenced with Shloka by Saketh Balliwar followed by an introduction to the topic by Devansh Taneja. A soulful rendition of the prayer “Tu hi ram hai, Tu Rahim Hai” was given by Falak Gupta. The thought for the day was presented by Adya Jain. The speech on the topic was delivered by Falak and a self composed poem written by Arnav Gupta was presented by Arnav and N .Tarun. The vote of thanks was given by Saiaansh Bakshi. The beautiful e invites were made by Sripriya Singh and the entire presentation was compiled by Krish Shah.

Poetry Enactment Competition On ‘The Importance Of Empathy’

The Psychology Club of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organised an online Poetry Enactment competition for class XI on 25 November, 2020. The topic for the competition was ‘The Importance of Empathy’. The aim of this competition was to raise awareness about empathy and its significance, especially during these trying times.

With as many as 14 students participating in pairs, one could catch a glimpse of the exceptional talent of the students of our school. On hearing the multiple beautiful poems written and being enacted, our esteemed judge, Ms. Archana Anthwal declared the winners. Aanya Roy (XI-X) and Saanvi Sekhri (XI-W) secured 1st position, Raavi Bajaj (XI-V) and Prakriti Panwar(XI-U) secured 2nd position, followed by Raaina Suryawanshi (XI-U) and Mehak Aggarwal (XI-V) in the 3rd position.

assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this 26th day of November 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

Report on Eco-Friendly Diwali Competition organized by TERI School of Advanced Studies

‘Celebrate Diwali Differently’ was organized by TERI School of Advanced studies in which  students in the age group 11 – 14 years participated from our school..

In the event ALANKRIT the students had to decorate a space in their house using eco-friendly materials and send pictures.ANIKA GOEL of Class VII C and AANYA KHANNA of Class VII E secured Second  Position in the this  event in the age category of 11 – 14 years.

In the event PRAMITI, the students had to send pictures / videos / articles on how they celebrated diwali differently and , AAIRAH SULTAN of Class VI A secured First Position

This event was coordinated by the Panchtatva,the Environment club of the Biology Department.

Class Presentation VI-E 24-11-2020

Topic – Guru Nanak Jayanti

As the whole country prepares itself to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti, the students of the class too decided to learn more about it and share it with others. 

The Class Presentation began with a beautiful hymn recited by Mohd. Amaan Aziz and translated by Pallavi Singh, followed by introduction of the theme by Hargun Kaur. Aradhana Prakash Ranjan sang the melodious song ‘Nanak Aaya, Nanak Aaya’. This was followed by an interesting and true story by Tamira Agnihotri, Yana Mehra and Aarav Anand on Guru Nanakji’s life and followed by the moral of the story in the end. Attharv Sachin Vijan then recited a beautiful self-composed poem giving us the importance of celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti and devotion to him. Then Kamakshi Dogra, Kashika.S and Kavnoor Kaur shared inspiring thoughts on believing in oneself and achieving success on top. The presentation was concluded by Ahaan Chopra with a vote of thanks. The vibrant e-invite was prepared by Kamakshi Dogra and Kashika.S. The audies were compiled by Kamakshi Dogra and Kashika.S as well.

Class Presentation XI-H 24-11-2020

Topic- Change the Game, Don’t let the Game Change you

 After discussing various topics for the class presentation, the students unanimously agreed on this topic as it was best suited to the present situation. These are the testing times for everyone on how quickly we adapt, how differently we can think and plan which will determine how strongly we all emerge from this adversity. Hence changing the game to achieve our goal and still playing by the rules and not letting anything come between our dreams to aim higher and higher. 

Arnav Goel and Priyanshi worked as comperes, and the Presentation started with a beautiful prayer by Siddhi Wadekar and followed by a soulful Hymn by Arnav Goel. The thought for the day was stated by Aditya Singh and Pulkit Gupta while the beautiful poem was recited by Aamna Abid. Later a melodious song was sung by Vasundhara and a speech was given by Aujasvit Datta.The creative E-invite was made by Maulik while the presentation was made by Rudra. The audio conversion and coordination was done by Rudra.

Class Presentation IX-J 24-11-2020

Topic- Guru Nanak Jayanti

The Class presentation commenced by invoking the name of the God by a soulful rendition of the prayer , ” Ek Onkar ” by Gunpreen Kaur.  The comperes Aprameyya  and Mihika greeted the audience with an introduction to the topic.  A meaningful and powerful thought for the day was presented by Disha  and Lavanya .  The teachings of Guru Nanak Devji  were truly reflected through a Sanskrit Shloka presented by Adya whose meaning was conveyed by Navya. Later Achintya , Pratham , Pranav , Saksham , Aarshia and Tanish delivered a speech on the life and beliefs of the Guru . A beautiful self composed poem was presented by Akshita .  As an ode to Guru Nanak Devji , Vanya sang a melodious Shabad at the end. The Vote of thanks was delivered  by Divyalaksh.  The e- invitation card and the slides  were prepared by Tashvi and the compilation of the audios was done by Dhananjay, Bhavya and Durlabh. The background instrumental music was given by Pratyush.

‘Food And Nutrition Activities On Occasion Of Festivals’

Food and Nutrition related activities were organised for the students of Classes VI-VIII during the festive month of November 2020 in their Science Period. To promote healthy eating habits the students were asked to prepare a healthy dish at home and submit the recipe along with its photographs under ‘Iam what I eat’. They presented the video of their recipe in the homeroom period. In another activity ‘Check before you eat’ , the students demonstrated the tests for the presence of adulterants in common food items like Tumeric, frozen peas, chilly powder. The Science teachers facilitated the related information and the students carried out simple tests at home and demonstrated them through video. The excitement and involvement of the students was noteworthy. The activities were coordinated by Ms Shruti Gupta,Science Coordinator under the Guidance of Ms Niva Chhonkar, Headmistress (VI-VIII)
