Class X Orientation Programme (2025-26)
An Orientation programme was organised for the parents of class X on the 9th of April 2025 . The purpose of the Orientation Programme was to introduce the parents to the respective Class teachers and subject teachers as well as to introduce them to the curriculum of the various subjects.
The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar warmly welcomed the parents. He spoke about the CBSE Board Examinations and the different aspects which the parents and students should focus upon to prepare for the same.
The Headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra spoke to the parents about the value of discipline along with the need for the involvement of parents in the learning process of their wards. The Class Representatives reiterated the importance of being regular to school. The Class teachers explained the code of conduct to be followed by the students. The parents were appreciative of the school’s efforts to facilitate an interaction with the subject teachers and the class teachers.

VIRTUAL ORIENTATION SESSION FOR CLASS XII 2025-2026
A Virtual Orientation session was held for the parents of students of class XII on 8th April 2025. The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, addressed the parents via zoom meet link. He informed the Parents about the preparatory classes for all competitive exams for science ,commerce and humanities streams which would be taking place in the School Premises. The Vice Principal, Mr Naresh Miglani, addressed the benefits of regularity to School and advised the Parents to make sure that their ward attends all the classes to score well in exams. The Vice Principal, Mr Anil Kathuria, highlighted that in case of any problem, the parent may contact any one of them for an assured solution. The Vice Principal, Mr Mukesh Kumar, informed the parents about the transition towards paperless administration through a new School app called DPS RKP Mobilise for Android as well as IOS users and to be vigilant about the future communication including fee payment through this app only. The Reps of Class XII, Ms Lalitha Srinivasan, Ms Richa Aggarwal and Ms Sarika Kaushal stressed upon the importance of being in touch with the Class Teacher and the subject teachers for regular and constructive feedback. They also highlighted the best practices followed by the School for effective teaching learning process and how it helps students in higher studies. Thereafter, all parents joined the google classroom link of their respective wards. The Class teachers welcomed the parents by sharing a welcome presentation which displayed the details of all subject teachers of the respective class. They explained the CBSE rules and regulations along with the Code of Conduct for the students and emphasized upon the importance of coming to school in proper school uniform. Each subject teacher thereafter gave a brief introduction about their subject along with the books, course content and break up of marks. The session ended by answering the query of the parents. The session was fruitful and productive .
Assembly XII-A & XII-B (07-04-2025)
TOPIC: “TOGETHER WE RISE- CELEBRATING INCLUSIVITY AT DPS”
An assembly was presented on 7th April 2025 on the theme “Together We Rise” by the students of Classes XII A and XIIB. The assembly aimed to celebrate the unity in diversity that defines India and to showcase the rich traditions that have been passed down through generations.
The event began with a soulful prayer sung by Hritika Choudhary, Inayat Kaur Bajaj, Ishaan Singh, Aditya Narayan Mishra , Shivam Kumar, Katyayani Yadav, Pari Gupta, Niharika Anand, Arshia Bhasin, Arjun Ahlawat , Bhavini Bisht, Aiza Nazir, Tanya Narang, Shraddha Abirami (XII B) Tanishqa Taneja, Reva Dongre, Anaya Vij, Aanya Ahuja, Arhaan Yadav, Vaanika Agarwal, Anishka Ranjan, Aarna Gulati, Aamini Singh, Bhoomi, Pranjal Meha, Reeti Kulshrestha, Divya Bansal, Gargi, Arav Shrivastav, Andaleeb Singh, Akshat Bansal, Moksh Yadav, Aryan Munjal, Riddhima Nora and Hridhya Bhatiani.(XII A)
It was followed by a classical dance performance by Vaanika (XIIA) and Katyayani Yadav (XIIB). Thought-provoking performances in the skit emphasized the importance of collective growth and national harmony. The team performing the skit included Rajveer Singh, Madhav Aggarwal, Sibani Minocha, Ira Mishra Aditya Narayan Mishra , Shaurya Gupta, Abhinav Kumar, Rewant Ravi Kumar (XIIB), Shubhi Badola, Tanishqa Taneja, Binish Fatima, Chinmayi Raman and Riddhima Nora(XIIA). Through a series of engaging performances, the students highlighted the cultural, linguistic, and regional diversity of India. Traditional dances from North, south, east and west were showcased in forms of Bhangra ,Bharatnatyam, kathak, Doniyo polo and Garba .Dances were presented by Ashwika Rawat, Shradha Miglani, Tundup Palmo, Namum Gena Apum , Dare Shorea, Nenker Monio, Fiona Malsawmsangi Sailo, Ritisha Chordia, Katyayani, Jahnvi Gupta , Poorvi Shankar (XII B), Anya Gautam, Ananya Shrivastav, Triambika Garg, Namayra Kohli, Khushi Chugh, Ipsita Mahajan, Nihaarika Roshanraj, Sonam Lhadon, Lisa Lal Hriatuii and Gaurisha Singh (XIIA). Musical presentations and skits reflected the unique customs and values that form the fabric of our nation.
A melodious song was presented by Tanishqa Taneja, Reva Dongre, Anaya Vij, Aanya Ahuja, Arhaan Yadav, Vaanika Agarwal, Anishka Ranjan, Aarna Gulati, Aamini Singh, Bhoomi, Pranjal Meha, Reeti Kulshrestha, Divya Bansal, Gargi, Arav Shrivastav, Andaleeb Singh, Akshat Bansal, Moksh Yadav, Aryan Munjal, Riddhima Nora, Hridhya Bhatiani (XIIA),Hritika Choudhary, Shivam Kumar, Aditya Narayan Mishra, Pari Gupta, Arshia Bhasin, Bhavini Bisht, Aiza Nazir, Tanya Narang and Shraddha Abirami, accompanied by clapbox by Rajveer Singh (XIIB). The students also drew connections through a self-written poem by Niharika Anand (XIIB) between India’s diverse heritage and the inclusive environment nurtured at DPS RK Puram , where students from various backgrounds come together to learn, grow and lead under the same roof. It was recited by Niharika Anand , Arshia Bhasin (XIIB), Divya Bansal and Sonam Lhadon (XIIA).
In the end Inayat Kaur Bajaj (XIIB) captivated the audience by her solo, heart touching song on Diversity in India. The assembly beautifully portrayed how our traditions continue to thrive and evolve in a modern educational setting. The colourful presentation was created by- Anav Jain, Vinayak Chaudhary (XIIB) and Tanishqa Taneja (XIIA). The beautiful soft board, e invite , folders and the cards were done by the art team comprising of Anav Jain, Tundup Palmo, Namum Gena Apum , Dare Shorea, Nenker Monio, Fiona Malsawmsangi Sailo, Ritisha Chordia (XIIB), Gaurisha Singh, Nihaarika Roshanraj, Shubhi Badola, Raghav Tiwari, Sarvika Singh, Divya Bansal, Gargi, Binish Fatima and Riddhima Raj (XIIA).

The Orientation Programme for parents of Class VII was successfully conducted at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on April 2, 2025. The orientation aimed to familiarize parents with the academic structure, school policies and teaching methodologies to ensure a smooth transition for students into the new academic session.The programme commenced with the introduction of the Class Teachers and Subject Teachers of the respective sections. This was followed by an informative session where parents were provided with detailed insights into school rules and regulations, discipline policies, assessment patterns, teaching pedagogy and other important rules.The Head Mistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal, along with Class VII Reps, Ms. Mahima Goel and Ms. Bhumika Singh, extended a warm welcome to all parents and conveyed their best wishes for the new academic session. The programme served as a valuable platform for parents to engage with the teachers, clarify their queries and gain a comprehensive understanding of their child’s academic journey. Overall, the Orientation Programme was well-received and set a positive tone for the upcoming academic year.
MVPP – A THUMPING SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE
Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha (MVPP) Examination, conducted by the Science Branch of the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi was held on 17th November, 2024.
The objective of this examination was to identify exceptionally brilliant students of Class IX and recognize their scientific aptitude by awarding a scholarship and a certificate.
Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram fosters a rich blend of holistic and futuristic education, giving an opportunity to the luminous minds to exemplify their skills and get recognised & rewarded for their accomplishment.
176 students took the exam and 53 qualified successfully.

State-Level Science and Mathematics Exhibition 2024-25
The Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, hosted the prestigious State Level Science and Mathematics Exhibition 2024-25 under the theme ‘Science and Technology for Sustainable Development’. This annual event aims to foster scientific temperament, encourage innovative thinking, and provide a platform for students to showcase their creative and analytical skills.
Students from DPS RK Puram participated enthusiastically, exhibiting their talent and passion for science and mathematics. Aanya Aggarwal (IX-M) and Anusha Dhawan (IX-O) demonstrated their creativity and technical skills in Model Making, while Reyaa Mody (IX J) competed in Slogan Writing and Vani Menon (IX-M) presented her artistic and scientific insight in Science Toon on the theme “My Green City.” Their dedication and ingenuity were recognized at the Zonal Level, where both Reyaa and Vani secured the First position.
Reyaa Mody further brought laurels to the school by winning second position at the Centre Level underscoring DPS RK Puram’s excellence in nurturing young scientific minds. Under the guidance of the Head of the Biology Department, Ms. Niva Chhonkar, the students demonstrated remarkable dedication and ingenuity.
The event not only provided students with an opportunity to test their knowledge and creative abilities but also reinforced the significance of science and mathematics in addressing real-world challenges. The participation and achievements of DPS RK Puram students exemplify their commitment to scientific innovation and their ability to compete at the highest levels.
