India Record Historic Win at The Asia-Pacific Junior Golf Championship

Ridhima Dilawari, aged 15, a student of class 10 J of Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram , won laurels for her country in this year’s Asia Pacific Junior Golf Championship held in December 2013. She, along with her teammate, clinched the winning trophy in the girls division in a historic turn out as Team India recorded its first ever victory at this prestigious championship held at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.

She was also a part of the Indian team consisting of two boys and girls that bagged a silver medal at the Youth Asian Games held at Nanjing, China in Aug 2013.She also participated in the World Junior Championship held in San Diego, USA and finished Rank 20th.

Along with being a prolific golfer, she has always been an outstanding student as well. In 2009, she was given a special award by Mrs Cherie Blair for her outstanding performance in academics as well as in sports. She has always scored above 90 percent and is presently a holder of the Blue Blazer given for excellence in academics and a Gold medal for her achievements in Golf. Apart from this, she is a talented singer and is a member of the Class 10 Western choir and holds a Red badge.
