Topic: Kargil Vijay Diwas
Every year, July 26 is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas. It was on this very day when India successfully won the Kargil War and took control back over the higher outposts. The Kargil War lasted for 60 days and finally ended on July 26, 1999, when India bounced back by taking control over what was rightfully ours.
Class VIII E chose ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ as the topic for their class presentation to pay reverence to the soldiers who laid their lives for the country and have set examples of their valour and courage.
The presentation commenced with a thought provoking Sanskrit shloka recited by Rishita Kapur and Aarush Gulati. The compere was done by Ashwika Rawat with an introduction to the audience about the topic. This was followed by a tranquil prayer recited by Myna Bhatia. Subsequently, Mahira recited a self composed poem depicting the courage of our soldiers. After this roleplay was introduced by a soothing song sung by Krita Mozumder. The roleplay was done by Sonakshi Segal, Aarush Gulati, Daksh Goyal, Rishita Kapur, Swadha Singh, Krita Mozumder and Gauravi Tewani, showing the valour and patriotism of the Indian army. The presentation ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Alvina Siddiqui.
