Class X Scholar Badge Ceremony 2026-27

Delhi Public School R.K. Puram hosted the Annual Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class X on 24 August 2026, honouring exceptional scholastic and co-curricular achievements of the students for the academic year 2025-26. 

The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by the Chief Guest, Dr (Prof) Harsh Wardhan, Member, Managing Committee, Delhi Public School RK Puram; the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar and the Vice Principals: Mr Naresh Miglani, Mr Anil Kathuria, Mr Mukesh Kumar and Ms Rashmi Malhotra along with Headmistress (Classes IX-X), Dr Anubha Gopal and the Incharge (Classes VI-VIII), Ms Vandana Chandhoke.

This was followed by an enchanting rendition of ‘Jaago Mohan Pyare’ by the Indian Choir, offering a graceful tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage and evoking a profound sense of devotion and pride. 

In his address, the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr Harsh Wardhan and expressed sincere gratitude for his presence. He congratulated the students on their achievements, urging them to work hard and maintain a balance between the Head and the Heart. He also expressed pride in their accomplishments and emphasised the importance of cherishing their childhood years. 

A soulful classical dance performance was then presented in which the seamless fusion of Kathak, Odissi and Bharatanatyam beautifully reflected discipline, dedication and harmony, thereby captivating the audience. 

Thereafter, the Class Representatives of Class X, Ms Ritu Raj, Ms Deepti Chaudhary and Ms Aditi Uppal conducted the award distribution ceremony wherein 140 Second Blue Badges, 18 First Blue Badges, 4 Blue Blazers, 72 Second Green Badges and 73 First Green Badges were awarded to the students for academic excellence. For achievements in sports and co-curricular activities, 6 Red Blazers, 21 Red Ties, 60 Pins, 25 Certificates of Appreciation and 10 Certificates for 100% attendance were presented. 63 Gold medals were also awarded to students who secured ranks in the prestigious MVPP (Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha) Examination.

A special award instituted in memory of Smt Swadesh Malik, a dedicated advocate of girls’ education, was presented to Gauri of Class X. Carrying a ₹5,000 cash prize, it recognises the girl student who has demonstrated the greatest academic improvement in Class IX.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr Harsh Wardhan lauded the achievements of the students and congratulated the parents and teachers, commending the students’ perseverance and focused approach. He also highlighted the importance of good health, a balanced diet, regular exercise, a calm mind and the values of humility and compassion, and encouraged the students to strive for greater success.

The Headmistress, Dr Anubha Gopal, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing her gratitude to the Chief Guest, Dr Harsh Wardhan, for his gracious presence. She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, for his visionary leadership; and extended her appreciation to the Vice Principals and the Incharge for their continued support and encouragement. She also conveyed her sincere appreciation to the parents for their sacrifices and unwavering faith in the students. 

Dr Gopal also extended her gratitude to the organising team for their dedicated efforts and invaluable contributions towards the success of the event. She concluded by congratulating the young scholars on their outstanding achievements, commending their perseverance, dedication and sustained efforts.

The ceremony drew to a solemn and dignified close with the rendition of the National Anthem.
