Metal Wars – Bhavan’s Dewang Mehta Memorial IT Symposium 2023

COMONOMICS – INTER-SCHOOL EVENT AT MOUNT CARMEL, DWARKA

Commerce and Economics students of Classes IX, XI and XII participated in the Inter-school event ‘COMONOMICS’23’ hosted by Mount Carmel, Dwarka on Friday, 18th August, 2023.  The theme of the events was to promote and celebrate sustainable business practices and “Green” initiatives within the field of commerce. Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram was awarded the overall trophy. The winners of the events were as follows:

TOPIC – “AWAKENING INTO A NEW DAWN”

The students of classes XIG and XIH at DPS RK Puram gathered with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour to commemorate the 77th Indian Independence Day on August 16th, 2023. The assembly with the theme “AWAKENING INTO A NEW DAWN” was a vibrant showcase of talent, unity, and reverence for the nation’s history. Ansh Bhatia, Agrim Sood, Tanvi Dahiya, Chaitanya Jangra, Jhanavi Soni and Manya Goel presented the assembly as comperes. The assembly commenced with a soulful rendition of prayer song by Aryaa Dube, Jincy Jaiswal, Stanzin Tsepal, Minakshi Kumari, Edha Balaji, Dev Agrawal, Vedant Ratra, Chaitanya Jangra, Rahil Singh, Shreejeet Jha, Hardik Chhabra, Abhyudai Bisen, Aryan Sejwal, Sujoy Behera, Shaurya Saini, Aahan Gupta, Yukti Malhotra, Mishika Kansal, Mohd. Fahad Sayeed, Lakshay Nawariya, Siddid Agarwal, Kaustubh, Manisha Sahoo, Sanyam Asthana, Alankar, Anushka, Ansh K, Aakarsh V, Farhan, Sunik, Kabir, Rayan and Pranshu. Punyakriti and Srishti Singh presented a Krishna Vandana dance. Siddhant, Aryan Sejwal & Aakarsh presented the Sanskrit Shlok along with its interpretation in Hindi & English. The thought for the day was shared by Tanushri Murthy & Ayush. A patriotic song was presented by the combined choir comprising Aryaa Dube, Jincy Jaiswal, Stanzin Tsepal, Minakshi Kumari, Edha Balaji, Dev Agrawal, Vedant Ratra, Chaitanya Jangra, Rahil Singh, Shreejeet Jha, Hardik Chhabra, Abhyudai Bisen, Aryan Sejwal, Sujoy Behera, Shaurya Saini, Aahan Gupta, Yukti Malhotra, Kushagra Jha, Kushagra Agarwal, Mishika Kansal, Mohd. Vinayak Raj, Soumya Rai, Yashmita Kumari, Anant Dev & Shiven Gupta eloquently addressed the importance of Independence Day. Prakhar Khandelwal, Arush Sharma, Atharv Varshney & Adveitesha Pratap made us aware about the happenings around the globe. Aryaa Dube shared a heartwarming poem she had composed about India’s diverse culture and unity. Soham Jain, Agrim Sood, Yashmita Kumari, Tanushri Murthy, Vinayak Raj, Punyakriti, Ananditaa Rath and Rounaq Singh presented a dynamic patriotic dance performance. Rishika, Srishti Singh, Vinayak, Aniket Gupta, Harshit, Vaibhav and Dhairya decorated the board. Srishti Singh and Rahil Singh made the folders. Maanav Mishra and Lokesh Dayal made the digital presentation. Abhyudai edited the audio for the assembly. S. Shrikirti and Rishika Vani made the invitation cards and Atharv Varshney made the E- Card. Parth Mittal and Surya Pratap Singh Khatri helped in writing this report.

Assembly XI-E & XI-F (08-08-2023)

TOPIC – “FRIENDSHIP AND UNITY: THE UNBREAKABLE BOND THAT EMPOWERS AND UPLIFTS”

On Tuesday, the 8th of August 2023, the students of classes XI-E and XI-F presented their class assembly on the topic – FRIENDSHIP AND UNITY: THE UNBREAKABLE BOND THAT EMPOWERS AND UPLIFTS. The assembly commenced with a mesmerising fusion of classical dance forms Kathak and Bharatnatyam by Shaivi and Prisha respectively. This was followed by thought for the day shared by Devang, Tejas and Divit. Next was a shlok presented by Tanush and Atharva. The news was presented by Mannat, Praavir, Mudit and Samit. Next, was a self composed poem by Abhineeth and Navya. Words have power. Their meaning crystallises perceptions that shape our beliefs, drive our behaviour, and ultimately, create our world. Keeping this in mind, a speech was given by Harshit, Sehejpreet, Prisha, Divit, Dhruv, Aaahana, Atharvajeet, Adhyayan and Rohak. Adding to the beauty of the assembly, a song was sung by Maverick, Zaid, Rayna, Lakshya Singh, Pranshu, Tanush,Yash, Swastika, Nirupam, Adhyayan, Vaibhav, Pranjal, Atulya and Harsh. Assembly was further energised by a dance performance from Niyati, Vrinda, Sehejpreet and Vikhyat. A self composed poem was shared by Nirupam and Adhyayan. The comperes were Aaahana, Prisha, Avi, Dhruv, Swastika, Twamedi, Dishi, Averna, Tejas, Anshuman, Sehejpreet and Harshit. The soft board, invitations, and folders were made by Pratishtha, Elisha, Mannat, Tejas, Atharvajeet, Niyati, Samit, Suryaansh, Anviit and Prisha. The digital presentation and e-invite was made by Rishit, Shreya Chauhan, Aaahana, Umika and Dishi.

Assembly VII-J & VII-K (03-08-2023)

TOPIC – “SOARING ON THE WINGS OF INSPIRATION”

Rabindra Nath Tagore truly said ‘Reach High, for the stars lie hidden in your soul’. Class VII J and VII K gave expression to their creative energies to present the assembly on the topic : Soaring on the Wings of Inspiration. The assembly commenced by paying reverence to Lord Ganesh with Ganesh Vandana presented by Riddhika Thakur and Jivisha Jain. The thought for the day was done by Ayan Srivastava in Spanish and its translation was done by Neeva Jain. The News was read by Shaurya Uppal, Reyan Goyal, Viihaan Anand and Hriday Chawla. The students who shared their dreams and aspirations inspired by their idols were Aadya Sharma, Myra Gupta, Anshika Gupta, Kritika Chhetri, Veer Chawla and Ruhaan Arora. It was followed by the recitation of a self composed poem by Arshi Jain. The western choir presented the inspirational song High Hopes. The assembly concluded on a positive note by a beautiful dance, blending the contemporary and traditional styles. The dancers who participated were Anushka Jain, Neeva Jain, Amaya Alug, Tahira Singh, Apeksha Gupta, Anshika Gupta, Saisha Gandhi, Kritika Chhetri, Myesha Vinayak and Pihu Vaish. The Assembly presentation ended with a thank you note presented by Pihu Vaish.

ANGDAAN MAHOTSAV

To create awareness amongst the Public about the importance of Organ donation, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India, observed 3rd August 2023 as India Organ Donation Day.

The specific objectives of this year’s campaign are to dispel the myths and misconceptions about organ donation and to reduce the demand for organ donation by promoting healthy lifestyles. In view of the above, the school organized various activities such as  Poster making by students of Class VIII, Slogan writing by students of Class IX and conducting a Quiz by students of Class XI. The students were thoroughly engaged in all activities. The student community and teaching community were encouraged to register a pledge for organ and tissue donation at the MyGov Portal. This information was disseminated at the school website.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

 Delhi Public School RKPuram, unfolded  a mesmerizing Independence Day Celebration under the guidance of the Principal Ms Padma Srinivasan, Headmistress Ms Anubha Gopal (VI-VIII), on August 11, and  August 15,2023. Students from grades 6 to 8 paid tribute to freedom fighters through diverse artistic expressions. Poignant poster designs, compelling slogan compositions,group songs and stirring patriotic poems illuminated the event.  The event was concluded with cultural programme and flag marching 14th August within school premise .The Headmistress, Mrs. Anuba Gopal, graced the occasion, fostering patriotism and unity. The meticulously organized program seamlessly united reverence and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on young hearts.The harmonious fusion of reverence and creativity created an unforgettable experience, nurturing a deep sense of national pride.

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK EXHIBITION

The Holiday Homework Exhibition was organised under the patronage of the Principal Ms Padma Srinivasan , the Headmistress Ms Anubha Gopal  (VI-VIII) at Delhi Public School RKPuram. This captivating event was exclusively designed for the erudite students of Class VI-VIII at RK Puram between the period of July 19th, 2023 to August 9th, 2023.

The primary essence of this exhibition was to illuminate the ingenious prowess of the students across diverse subjects, fostering a culture of innovative thinking. Through this platform, participants not only received recognition for their diligent endeavours but also found a gratifying sense of accomplishment.

The invaluable support and guidance extended by the subject coordinators and teachers across all domains played a pivotal role in nurturing the students’ talents and facilitating their captivating displays. The exhibition served as a testament to their collaborative efforts. 

Assembly VIII-H & VIII-I (17-08-2023)

TOPIC – “LEGENDS NEVER DIE- WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY”

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller. This World Humanitarian Day, the students of VIII H and VIII I with full dedication and hard work, have aimed at igniting the positive thoughts from within the hearts of all and honour the individuals who work selflessly and provide assistance to those in need. The Assembly began with the morning prayer – ‘Teri Hai Zameen’ to thank God and invoke His blessings on us. The morning prayer was performed by Aarvi Prakash, Aatreyi Singh, Anaisha Kakkar, Arjun Kanwar, Maahi Somvanshi, Reanna Batra and Zayan Ali Khan. The compering for the assembly was done by Mannan Arora and Rianna Sachdev. Samarth Bansal, Atharva Nawani, Showaiz Noor Ahmad and Vanshika Gehlot presented quotes in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. Aavya Srivastava, Aanya Yadav, Aarush Monga, Agni Pratap, Medhansh Chotrani and Rakshit Tokas then discussed famous lines about some famous humanitarian heroes. Next, the way Giaa Bhatia, Ananya Malhotra and Vani Menon performed in the soulful Ganesh Vandana, filled our hearts with respect and devotion for the almighty . Adrian Tannuj, Gaurika Chopra, Maayra Arora and Mehveer Singh Grover did a commendable act in the skit which followed. After this, Amogh Singh, Atiksh Bansal, Ridhaan Saini, Shifa Khanam presented the news while Aanya Yadav and Divij Jain presented the thoughts for the day. The portrayal of Yuvaan Mangla as Kalyana Sundaram, Ishaan Arora as Arun Kumar, Nikunj as Malathi Raja and Arya Chatrath as Kailash Satyarthi was clapworthy. The rhythmic dances by Aanya Gupta, Aarav Yadav, Aarna Anand, Anika Tyagi, Navya Kalra, Navya Taneja, Saanvi Mahajan, Vihaana Dogra, Aanya Aggarwal, Meghna Sen, Ritika Sharma and Suhaani Bhola have also been a memorable instance for the students from both the sections. After the dance, the skit continued and then Afraaz Tariq, Aaryan Arora, Ishaan Arora, Ishaan Raikwar, Sabal Ramjita, Viraaj Dhamija, Atulya Aggarwal and Reyansh Jain recited a poem. The vocal masterpiece by Aarvi Prakash, Aatreyi Singh, Aditya Lal, Anshika Kakkar, Maahi Somvanshi, Reanna Batra, Aaryav Seth, Ananya Goyal, Arhaan Sharma, Armaan Kothari, Arundhati Pradhan, Ishaan Trivedi, Ragini Singh, Sidharth Modi, Varun Jain, Vihaan Madhukkar and Zoravar Sachdeva, coordinated with the beats and music were mesmerizing to our ears. Aavya Srivastava and Nanya Gupta worked on the script and made an excellent digital presentation. Aatreyi Singh and Ananya Malhotra made the handmade invite. Ragini Singh made the folder. Aavya Srivastava, Anuvrat Gupta, Mehveer Singh Grover, Nanya Gupta, Nikunj, Ragini Singh and Reanna Batra worked on the soft boards in AVH.

Independence Day 2023

“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” -Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Delhi Public School R.K. Puram celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15 August 2023. 

The event witnessed numerous forms of artistic renditions presented by the students and commemorated the nation’s independence along with the hoisting of the national flag by the principal. The vibrant attire of the students gave rise to a patriotic sentiment throughout the event. It acted as an expression of unity in diversity and promoted harmony.

The programme began with the unfurling of the tricolour by the principal, Ms Padma Srinivasan, along with the national anthem and followed by a self composed patriotic musical medley presented by the students of the Performing Arts Society which filled the audience with a sense of unity and pride towards the nation.

The musical medley was followed by an address by the principal, Ms. Padma Srinivasan, emphasising the crucial role played by the freedom fighters in making the nation what it is today. She influenced the students by giving great prominence to hard work and integrity in fulfilling dreams. She highlighted the contribution of the freedom fighters despite the hurdles. She reminded the students of the values of our society and how we should think as a community for the betterment of the nation. She also emphasised on the importance of sincerity, patriotism and brotherhood.

The Vice Principal Mr Naresh Miglani emphasised on small contributions made in our day to day lives which finally leads to a larger good. Mr Anil Kathuria reminded the students of the great sacrifices made by great men which serves as a source of inspiration for generations ahead.Mr Mukesh Kumar talked about values and strong moral fibre that they have grown up with which will take them way ahead in lives and they will make  not only our school but the country proud. As we celebrate the triumph of freedom, let’s remember to uphold the values that our nation stands for. Jai Hind!
