The Social Service League of DPS,R.K.Puram organised an educational trip to Amar Jyoti School,Karakardoma on 14 Dec.219 in order to sensitize the students to the differently abled and to develop a better understanding of inclusive education. Seventeen students from class VI accompanied by two teachers visited the school. The students of Amar Jyoti School,with and without disabilities are encouraged to participate in integrated sports and cultural activities besides academics. The school empowers its students by imparting training in skill-development.(art & craft, cutting-tailoring,computer training, jute bag making, bead jewellery and beauty culture) it has been working relentlessly towards meaningful rehabilitation of children with disabilities.The students of DPS interacted with the students, played a friendly basket ball match with the differently abled who were on their special wheelchairs. . The children of Amar Jyoti School put up a spectacular dance performance, which was enjoyed by all.
