Tarun Singh Gahlan wins in the Inter School Music competition for Special Needs children

Tarun Singh Gahlan, a student of X-D, is a soft spoken, cheerful and affable child. Tarun has not let his visual impairment keep him back in life.He has been greatly interested in studies along with co-curricular activities in his class. He is the first differently abled child who enjoys horse riding at the Army Riding and Polo Club, Delhi Cantt. On 6th November 2016, he participated in the 21st Edition of the Salwan Marathon, Delhi under the Special Race Category wherein more than 1200 visually challenged children from across the country took part. In that event, he also performed a solo song which was applauded by everyone present.

He has represented the school in the category of CWSN at the Kothari International School, Noida on 8 December 2016 and sang a song “Tera Ishq Mera Ishq” from the movie ‘Ram Leela’. There, he secured the second position and lived up to the expectations of his Alma Mater. Despite having innumerable limitations and hurdles, Tarun is excelling in Academics too. His performance in Music in Class VIII was appreciated by the school authorities. He has been awarded the Scholar Badge for striving for excellence in studies in Class IX. Music being his forte. he got admission in a very renowned institution i.e. Gandharav Mahavidyalya of Delhi and is learning Indian Vocal Classical Music.. By virtue of his dedication, devotion and passion, he will come out with flying colours in the times to come. Moreover, Tarun is very popular among his classmates.
