Even since Sankalp was young,he had a passion for sports. While growing up, he tried his hands at different sports like cricket , soccer etc but eventually found his bliss in squash. His passion for squash in part , was fostered by his father and elder brother , both of who play competitively. Sankalp spent countless hours hitting a squash ball against the walls of his house as a kid, and eventually got into serious squash training .
Currently Sankalp, aged 14, a student of 8 F, is the captain of the Under 17 category for Delhi state team .
At the age of 10 he came first in the U -11 category in Indian Squash Professional Championship held in Delhi.He was also second in the Maharastra Squash championship ,and 4th in the Rajasthan and Bengal Junior championship . He captained the IPSC team and won a gold medal .
His recent achievement was his 1st rank in the Inter Delhi /NCR School Public Championship in the U-19 category. Sankalp has made the school proud and it is overwhelming to see his passion for squash at such a young age.
