Skit Competition on Human Rights

Human rights are basic rights that belong to all of us simply because we are human. They embody key values in our society such as fairness, dignity, equality and respect. They are an important means of protection for us all, especially those who may face abuse, neglect and isolation. The Human Rights Day is celebrated every year on 10th December since its proclamation in 1948.This day is observed to protect the fundamental human rights of all people and their basic human freedom.

Four students of SSL- Alma Ali of 11 U, Devina Singh of 11 V, Krish Gupta of 11 R and Mudit Khandelwal of 11V with the help of Ms. Preeti Pratihari, teacher incharge of the club conducted a skit competition on Human Rights for class XI members of SSL club on Saturday 19th December 2020. Being members of SSL it is our duty to  spread awareness and inculcate empathy towards people who are denied their basic human rights.26 students were divided into 5 groups and were given the instructions of making a pre recorded video of not more than 5 minutes about any issue related to human rights.

The event was judged by Ms. Aastha Kochar( Teacher incharge of the sociology club) and Ms. Sanya Taneja(Teacher incharge of the Expressions theatre). The results were as follows-
