Scholar Badge Ceremony 2017 – Class IX Sections A-G

DPS RK Puram hosted the Annual Scholar Badge Ceremony of Class IX (Sections A-G) on 24 November 2017, where the academic and co-curricular excellence of the students was acknowledged.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp. The Comperes, in impeccable Sanskrit, welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr Pramod Grover, Vice Chairman, Managing Committee DPS RK Puram and Hony Treasurer DPS Society, which was followed by his felicitation with a token of regard by the Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal.

Thereafter the melodious orchestra’s beautiful sounds reverberated in the auditorium. A short film highlighting the school’s various achievements in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities was showcased, which elicited a loud round of applause.

The Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, delighted the audience with a welcome address, emphasizing the theme, ‘The Essence of Success’, specifically speaking about how the struggle endured on the journey to success is worth it; relating the ‘Potato, Egg and Coffee’ tale, which taught the students how to overcome their struggles and make it their identity.

The cultural program, featuring Indian dancers in bright outfits, a troupe of well-trained actors with exuberant voices and melodious singers with strong vocals, was a great success.

Mr. Pramod Grover spoke of his long association with DPS RK Puram, it’s current and former Principals and how they had constantly striven to make the school reach newer heights. He considers this school to be the star school of the DPS Society, owing to the large number of foreign admissions and scholarships earned by the graduates of the school and the strong academic base.

The Award Distribution Ceremony was conducted by the Class Representative, Mr. Anang Saxena, who introduced the scholars. The Chief Guest, the Principal and the Vice Principal congratulated and presented the students with the awards.

The Vice Principal, Ms. Anita Singh, delivered the vote of thanks and the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
