Rubani Kaur participated in the dance competition Rhythm, held at Holy Child Auxilium School, Vasant Vihar, on 13th August 2026. Her group secured Third Position in the competition. The theme of the competition was to depict the evolution of dance through different art forms, including theatre, Indian dance, Western dance, and contemporary artistic expressions. Rubani’s group beautifully presented this evolution through a creative journey across different eras. The performance began with Charlie Chaplin, representing the late 1800s, and then transitioned into the 1920s Jazz era. The group then moved to the 1990s, featuring the energetic song It’s Raining Men, followed by Contemporary dance, representing the 2010s. The performance concluded with Angels in Tibet, representing the dance trends of the 2020s. Through seamless transitions, expressive choreography, and a creative blend of diverse dance forms, the group effectively showcased how dance has evolved over the decades.
