‘JIGYASAVASH – NURTURING CURIOSITY’ 

The Jigyasavash Biology exhibition was organized and displayed on December 4,2025 in  the Granite area. Students of Classes VI- XI occupied centre space, demonstrating their innovative, creative, critical, practical, thought provoking aptitude.A coming of age corner had students of Class IX showing the use of AI in the field of medicine . It displayed how a preliminary prognosis of an injury, using AI, can be made use of to assist the doctor. 

Another practical   use of AI was demonstrated  by another student who demonstrated how AI could help students in learning concepts stated in the textbooks.

Students illustrated the technology behind CRISPR, the gene editing revolutionary technology.

Young minds aspiring to be doctors  tested body parameters such as the Oxygen saturation levels, the Body Mass Index, Blood pressure, also a  stethoscope was shown how it amplifies the sound of the heart beat.

Students demonstrated experiments to bring to the fore the application of biological/scientific concepts at home. Experiments showcasing osmosis, diffusion, testing of water for its purity were shown. To add an element of  fun to the exhibition, there was a Quiz corner doling out prizes in the form of chocolates and pens to the winning answers.

Class XI students demonstrated isolation of DNA from banana, which fascinated everyone. Our Principal motivated students to do research on the effect of DNA of plants in the human body. Bones of Human body were well displayed wherein Class XI students explained their location and their features to identify them

To  incorporate healthy habits among students ; Class XI students displayed a variety of millets like ragi, bajra, jowar, foxtail  under the section “Mighty Millets”. They explained their effect on different organs, nutritional significance in a unique and creative way.Food Adulteration Tests were conducted. Students were taught what to look for when buying packaged food. The Ayurveda Corner exhibited herbs as medicines and prepared ‘kadha’.Class VI students also participated with full zest by being part of Smart Eats team and showcasing analysis of nutritional labels of Chaach,Juice,Chips, Chocolate and their healthy alternatives such as fox nuts,fruits,  almonds and Dark Chocolate.

The exhibition was  graced and well received by the Principal Mr Anil Kumar, Vice Principals and the Headmistress. The Principal engaged and interacted with every student putting up the exhibits. The idea ofexhibition was put up by  Ms Niva Chhonkar, HoD- Biology and diligently executed by the Biology Department Teachers.

Assembly IX-A & IX-B (03-12-2025)

TOPIC: “INSPIRING JOURNEYS/ CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS: SHAPING FUTURE LEADERS, NURTURING TALENT AND PASSION, FOSTERING GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE”

In this light, an assembly was presented on 3rd December 2025 on the theme “Moulding Minds, Shaping Leaders: The Enduring Legacy of DPS R.K. Puram” by the students of classes IX A and IX B. The assembly aimed to cultivate appreciation for teacher-student relationships and inspire students to explore their potential and nurture their inner talents.

Aaratrika Singh, Ruchika Verma, Akshat Narayan, and Sanvi Maurya (IX A), along with Riddhima Chawla, Vedika Singh, and Nehal (IX B) skillfully anchored the audience, guiding them seamlessly through the proceedings. The event commenced with a soul-stirring prayer sung by Manjul Raj, Raunit Batra, Pranay Veer Arora, Aarav Agarwal, Manya Sharma, Aarit Dhingra, Aarav Kumar, Pihu Singh, Aaratrika Singh, Bisma Haroon, Harsanjam Singh, and Swara Kiran Niraj (IX A), and Aarav Upadhyay, Aastha Maurya, Abhir Baluja, Aditya Apoorva, Aryaman Shrivastava, Ashutosh, Bhawna Yadav, Chander Prakash, Deepak Kumar, Kartikay Singh Pakhretia, Moksh Saxena, Pawan Pramod Kaushik, Saanvika Arshvi, Sarthak Singh Chauhan, Saarthak Samrat Bandyopadhyay,and Sarvagya Aggarwal (IX B).

This was followed by a graceful Vandana classical dance performance by Ruchika Verma, Aradhya Bhardwaj, Khwahish Kashyap, and Saesha Gulati (IX A), and A. Harini Shree, Akshaya Aditri, and Kritika Chhetri (IX B). The script for the assembly was thoughtfully prepared by Ayaan Goyat, Ayan Srivastava, Advit Sharma, Ansh Garg, Manya Sharma, Prisha Parimieta, Ruchika Verma, Swara Kiran Niraj, and Sindhuja (IX A).

The crucial role of exemplary teachers in shaping students’ abilities was brought to life through a skit performed by Jayaditya Singh Naruka, Advit Sharma, Ayaan Goyat, Atharv Sachdeva Thakur, Shaurya Sahay, and Khwahish Kashyap (IX A), and Aarnav Sharma, Raikishori Roy, A. Harini Shree, Kavya Phuja, Yash Raj Singh and Anvita Mohan (IX B). Current affairs were eloquently presented by Bhavik Gupta and Atiksh Aggarwal (IX A), and Aditya Khanna and Ziyan (IX B), followed by Thoughts for the Day in multiple languages: Ansh Garg in French, Kushagra Jha in Hindi (IX A), Akshita Punia in Sanskrit, and Tanishka Mahajan in English (IX B). A thought-provoking Hindi poem was composed and recited by Riddhima Chawla (IX B) and only recited by Bisma Haroon (IX A).

A melodious song reflecting the theme was performed by Swara Kiran Niraj, Sanvi Maurya, Aradhya Bhardwaj, Manya Sharma, and Aranya Sharma Agnihotri (IX A), along with Anvita Mohan, Ark Shrivastava, Kavya Pahuja, Vanshika Shukla, Pragati Mishra, Aditya Apoorva, Apurv Vikram Singh, Shaurya Sharma ,Vrishank Sharma, Samprati Gupta ,Saanvika Arshvi, Riddhima Chawla, and Akshansh Saini (IX B). The musical accompaniment for the prayer and song was provided by Aarav Vashishtha, Ayan Srivastava, Shaurya Sahay, Aayushi, and Aseem Shankar (IX A), and Ahmad Aariz Hussain, Dev Arya Singh, Eeshitv Bhatnagar, and Samprati Gupta (IX B).

The assembly concluded with an enchanting dance performance by Rishita Kehair, Alina Ibrahim, and Kyra Mann (IX A), and Akkshita, Akshita Punia, and Kishteena (IX B), which captivated the audience with its vibrant expression of the theme. Finally, the artistic contributions of students were highlighted: Kyra Mann and Gauri Basoya (IX A) designed the beautiful invitations; Sakshi Mittal, Chiemi Ngangom, Alina Ibrahim, Saanvi Mittal, and Aashi Singh (IX A) prepared the folders; Akshita Punia (IX B) set up the display board; Vrishank Sharma (IX B) created the E-invite; and Vardhan Nalluri (IX A) prepared the colorful presentation to complement the performances.

The assembly was a vivid celebration of talent, creativity, and the enduring impact of teachers, leaving the audience inspired and appreciative of the rich legacy of DPS R.K. Puram.

CLASS XI SCHOLAR BADGE 2025-26

Delhi Public School R.K. Puram hosted the Class XI Scholar Badge Ceremony for the academic year 2024–25 on 17 November 2025 for sections A, B, C, H, J, K, L, M, O, P and V and 21 November 2025 for sections D, E, F, G, I, N, Q, R, S, T and U, in the Audio-Visual Hall (AVH). The event celebrated the academic excellence and co-curricular achievements of the students, honouring students who distinguished themselves through their hard work, focus and dedication. 

SESSION 1: 

On 17 November 2025, The event began with the  lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Professor Vikraman Balaji, a distinguished professor at the Chennai Mathematical Institute; the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, the Vice Principals: Mr Naresh Miglani, Mr Anil Kumar Kathuria, Mr Mukesh Kumar and Ms Rashmi Malhotra and the Headmistress, Dr Anubha Gopal. The programme commenced with a captivating performance by the Western Orchestra, featuring a blend of violins, drums, piano and guitar. This was followed by a beautifully rendered song by the western choir.

Professor Vikraman Balaji’s address focused on the values of consistency, patience and curiosity. He shared how his own journey in Mathematics had been filled with challenges and reminded students that steady efforts daily lead to real understanding over time.

SESSION 2:

On 21 November 2025, the Chief Guest, Dr Poonam Gupta, Deputy Governor of RBI along with the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, the Vice Principals: Mr Anil Kumar Kathuria, Mr Mukesh Kumar and Ms Rashmi Malhota, and the Headmistress, Dr Anubha Gopal marked an auspicious beginning to the event with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the melodious notes of the Western Orchestra and the Indian Choir that filled the air, thereby delivering a captivating performance that enthralled the audience. 

During her address, Dr. Poonam Gupta, the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and a respected economist with decades of experience, stressed on the importance of resilience and adaptability not as abstract ideas, but as values that have shaped her own journey. Dr. Gupta reminded everyone that success isn’t a final destination we arrive at one day; it’s a path that we keep walking on, learning and evolving. She encouraged students to see challenges as stepping stones rather than setbacks and to stay open to growth at every stage of life.

Thereafter, the much-awaited Scholar Badge Ceremony was conducted by the Class XI representatives: Ms Abha Chona, Ms Kusum Yadav and Ms Vinita Panjwani. This year, a remarkable number of students were honoured for their outstanding achievements, with 189 Blue Ties, 10 Blue Blazers, 82 Green Badges (Second), 441 Green Badges (First), 5 Red Blazers, 16 Red Ties, 23 Red Pins for sports and co-curricular achievements, 5 students received recognition for 100% Attendance and many received Certificates for Co-curricular Excellence, in recognition of their exceptional performance in both scholastic and co-scholastic domains.

In addition to these honours, two special awards were presented to students who exemplified extraordinary merit and character. The Prantik Roy Memorial Award, instituted by Mr and Mrs Roy Choudhary in memory of their son, Prantik, is given every year to the all rounder student of Class X. It carries a gold medal and a certificate. The Prantik Roy Memorial Gold medal for the year 2024-25 was awarded to two students, namely, Aayush Singh of XI F and Devashish Bindal of XI F. 

The Jayvanth Ishwaran Award for Excellence, established by Late Shri Ishwaran and Mrs. Gauri Ishwaran, in memory of their son Jayvanth, carries a rolling trophy and a gift card valued at ₹5,000. The Jayvanth Ishwaran Award for excellence for the year 2024-25 was awarded to Anika Agarwal of XI G. 

The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, congratulated all the awardees and acknowledged their hard work. He reminded them that achievements are built on years of steady effort rather than moments of sudden brilliance, and consistency is what leads to success.

Both ceremonies concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice Principal,  Mr Anil Kumar Kathuria, followed by the National Anthem.

Assembly VII-G & VII-H (02-12-2025)

TOPIC: “THE PARAMPARA OF STORYTELLING: PASSING WISDOM THROUGH GENERATIONS, LESSONS FROM THE PAST”

“Passing Wisdom: From Voice to Verse”

“Words once spoken become lessons remembered; words once written become lessons preserved.”

Keeping this message in mind, the Class Assembly of Class VII-G and VII-H started with a heartfelt prayer song by Avni, Shivaksh, Sachin, Harshit, Naitik, Vihaan, Tarun, Ryan, Umair, Yashvendra, Aarav, Fasi, Savir, Sushant, Harshita, Gurbani, Drishya Azad, Mumtaj, Kabir Bidhuri and Md. Irfan Firdousi. Then the Headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal welcomed everyone and led them through the morning prayer. 

This was followed by Ganesh Vandana gracefully performed by Baani Khurana, Ananshi Birla, Vaanya Jindal, Adwitiya Basu, Shreya Devi, Prisha Bhandari, Lekhika, Samaira, Saisha and Iliyana Mathew. This was followed by a compelling skit to showcase how passing wisdom started with words in the form of stories, poems and songs and later changed to passing wisdom through written scripts. The skit was performed by Samaira Duggal (as Dadi) Madhav Anand, Gayatri Sharma, Shauryavardhan Singh, Kabir Shewaramani, Aisha Dudi, Hershaanya and Anika (as children), Kabir Sethi (as villager), Kimaya (as teacher), Anaida Rai, Kushagra Tokas, Shanaya Nargotra and Yelena (as students), Nysa Malhotra, Abeer Bhatia and Sreshtha Dasgupta, Anaira Kher, Ameya and Sanaya Valecha (as narrators). The Thought for the Day was given in four different languages by Shanaya Nargotra (Spanish), Nishit (French), Ishanvi (Hindi) and Daksh Jaglaan (English). The news headlines for the day were read by Keyaan Kochhar, Kiyan Gupta, Shivam Kathuria and Alaina Siwach.

Thereafter, two beautiful self-composed poems were recited by Shauryavardhan Singh and Aisha Dudi which beautifully resonated with the assembly’s theme. Followed by this, the western choir sang a wonderful song sung by Vagisha Sinha, Akshaj Choudhary, Viyansh Kakkar, Rishika, Avya Mehra, Harsh S. Uppal, Sreshtha Dasgupta, Abeer Bhatia, Nysa Malhotra, Nijansh Sharma (guitar), Siddharth Parwal (guitar), Kabir Sethi (Keyboard) and Aradhya Vij (Keyboard), adding a melodious touch to the assembly.

The comperes of the programme were Viyansh Kakkar, Sreshtha Dasgupta, Daksh Jaglaan, Atharv Garg, Anaira Kher and Sanaya Valecha. The folders, handmade invite and the board for the assembly were made by Manel Shankar, Shivaksh, Daksh Jaglaan, Shivam Kathuria, Ananshi Birla, Nijansh Sharma, Nysa Malhotra, Md. EXUN 2025 – ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

The  Expert Unlimited Clan of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, popularly known as EXUN clan, hosted the 30th edition of its Annual International Technology Symposium on 22 November 2025. Every year, tech wizards and enthusiasts from all over India gather at the symposium to hone their skills, assess their proficiency and create unforgettable experiences.


This year, EXUN 2025 organised numerous events that spanned multiple spheres, in collaboration with affiliated clubs of the school such as DomainSquare+, featuring gaming showdowns; Roboknights, showcasing amazing robots competing in football; and CubXL, with cubing and racing against the clock.

Intel, a leading producer, designer and manufacturer of various computer components along with Athena Education, which has secured acceptances to leading global universities, including the Ivy League institutions sponsored the event. Additional support was provided by PlayStation, a prominent interactive entertainment provider renowned for its cutting-edge gaming consoles and exclusive titles.

The event constituted a variety of competitions that were judged by alumni of the school. The competitions were as follows:

1. Build: Hackathon
The Hackathon challenged students from Classes 6-12 to conceptualize and develop an innovative web mobile, or command-line application aligned with the given prompt. With one team per school and up to four participants per team, the hybrid-format event tested creativity, technical execution and real-time problem solving. Over the stipulated development window, the teams collaborated intensively to refine features, debug systems and present polished prototypes, reflecting both technical competence and strong teamwork.

2. Build: Designathon
Open to Classes 6-12, the Designathon brought together young designers to craft inventive solutions to a problem statement using structured design-thinking methodology. Teams of up to three participants produced UI/UX designs, posters, 3D models, promotional films and other creative deliverables. The hybrid event fostered ideation, visual communication and interdisciplinary design, celebrating originality and impactful storytelling.

3. Build: Unreality
Build: Unreality invited participants of all age groups to immerse themselves in the dynamic field of game development through an online-only challenge. Teams of up to four members created a fully functional game around a central theme using any preferred engine or tools. Submissions were evaluated on originality, gameplay, audio and visual design, with additional merit awarded for self-created assets. The event pushed participants to combine technical skill with artistic vision under time-sensitive constraints.

4. Competitive Programming
This highly rigorous event, open to all age groups, tested algorithmic thinking and coding proficiency. Participants tackled progressively complex problems grounded in dynamic programming, graph theory and data structures. Conducted in two rounds, the competition culminated in a high-pressure final where the strongest coders demonstrated speed, accuracy and optimal problem-solving strategies.

5. Sudocrypt
Sudocrypt, Exun’s flagship 36-hour online CTF and cryptic hunt, challenged participants with intricately layered puzzles spanning cryptography, logic and advanced pattern recognition. With unlimited participants per school, the event unfolded through escalating levels of complexity, supported by occasional hints and interactive mechanics. Unpredictable and intellectually demanding, Sudocrypt remained one of the Symposium’s most engaging endurance events.

6. Turing Test
Modeled on the International Linguistics Olympiad, the Turing Test offered a computational linguistics challenge open to all age groups. Participants solved structured linguistic problems requiring analytical reasoning, pattern identification and logical deduction. Judged on accuracy and clarity of explanation, the event attracted problem-solvers with a passion for language, logic and computational thinking.

7. Quiz
The Exun Quiz, open to Classes 9-12, featured a hybrid format with teams of two, competing through an online preliminary round and an on-stage final. Questions spanned from the fields of technology history, contemporary affairs, programming and corporate developments to digital culture. The top six teams advanced to an engaging, high-energy final where precision, speed and breadth of knowledge determined the winners.

8. Crossword
The Crossword event for Classes 9-12 tested wit, wordplay and command of tech-related terminology. After an online preliminary round, six finalist teams competed in the offline bounce-pounce format. All clues were centered on computing, technology, renowned figures in IT and related vocabulary, ensuring a challenging and intellectually rewarding experience.

9. Hardware
Highlighting the foundational role of physical computing, the Hardware event required teams of two (Classes 9-12) to solve hands-on tasks involving components, networking equipment and system-level hardware interactions. Conducted in hybrid mode, it evaluated participants’ practical understanding of computer architecture, diagnostics and hardware design principles.

10. Girls in Tech
Dedicated to empowering female students in STEM, Girls in Tech welcomed girl participants from grades 6-12 in teams of up to three. Conducted fully online, the event combined a preliminary and final round, emphasizing problem-solving, collaboration and exposure to technology fields. It aimed to foster inclusive participation and strengthen representation in tech spaces.

11. Group Discussion
The Group Discussion event encouraged thoughtful discourse on technology and ethics for the students of Classes 9-12. Participants submitted video entries for the preliminary round, after which selected students advanced to the offline semifinal and final rounds. With an emphasis on structured argumentation and well-reasoned perspectives, the event celebrated clarity, conviction and intellectual engagement.

12. ExML
ExML 2025 challenged participants to engineer advanced AI-based systems capable of adapting to complex, evolving conditions. Open to all age groups, teams of two per school tackled a fast-paced machine-learning task designed to test technical depth, strategic design and innovation. Solutions were judged on performance metrics and creative problem formulation.

13. DomainSquare+ Gaming: PC
This gaming event for Classes 9-12 began with an online round requiring at least a low-end PC or laptop. Final rounds were held onsite with professional equipment provided. Teams of two demonstrated strategy, reflexes and adaptability in competitive PC gaming formats, delivering an energetic spectator experience.

14. DomainSquare+ Gaming: Surprise
With two teams per school, this event kept participants on their toes with an undisclosed gaming challenge revealed only during the competition. After online preliminaries, finalists competed offline using school-provided equipment. The format rewarded flexibility, rapid learning and spontaneous strategy-building.

15. DomainSquare+ Gaming: Showdown!
The Pokémon Showdown tournament for Classes 9-12 tested strategic depth, prediction skills and adaptability. One participant per school competed across online and offline rounds, showcasing mastery over competitive battle mechanics and real-time decision-making.

16. CubXL 2×2
This WCA-regulated 2×2 speedcubing event for Classes 6-12 featured online preliminaries and offline finals. One participant per school competed in timed rounds where precision, dexterity and efficiency determined advancement. The event highlighted the fast-paced, high-skill nature of competitive cubing.

17. CubXL 3×3
A classic 3×3 speedcubing event, CubXL 3×3 brought together top cubers from Classes 6–12 for online preliminary rounds followed by offline finals. With the WCA guidelines in place, the competitors demonstrated technical excellence, solving accuracy and consistency under time pressure.

18. CubXL Pyraminx
This Pyraminx-based cubing challenge maintained the same competitive structure: online preliminaries followed by an offline finale. Participants adhered to the WCA regulations while showcasing rapid solving and spatial reasoning across increasingly demanding rounds.

19. Roboknights: Robosoccer
Robosoccer featured high-speed robotic football played by teams of up to three students from Classes 8-12. Using self-built wired or wireless robots within strict size, weight and voltage limits, the teams maneuvered across a scaled arena to score goals. With 3-minute halves, tactical play and a ban on ball-trapping or intentional damage, the contest fused mechanical engineering with dynamic gameplay.

20. Roboknights: Mx+C V7.0 Line Following Robot
This offline robotics event required teams of three (Classes 9-12) to design autonomous line-following robots capable of navigating complex tracks. With strict constraints on size, weight, voltage, and sensor configuration, participants engineered robots to handle switchbacks, intersections and sharp turns. The emphasis on autonomy and hardware originality made it one of the most technically demanding events of the symposium.

The valedictory ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms Shweta Khurana, Director of Intel (Asia Pacific and Japan), the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, the Vice Principals, Mr Mukesh Kumar, Mr Naresh Miglani, Mr Anil Kathuria and Ms Rashmi Malhotra and the Headmistress, Dr Anubha Gopal.

In his address, the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, congratulated the participants for their enthusiasm and praised the EXUN clan for its network of alumni, its history and achievements. He commended the club organising such events which nurture young geniuses and entrepreneurs. He highlighted the club’s motto, “We Not I,” embodies the spirit of true collaboration and collective growth. Concluding his address, he encouraged the participants to keep striving for excellence, evolve with purpose, and prepare themselves to lead the nation toward a more progressive and developed future.

The Vice Principal and the founder of the EXUN clan, Mr Mukesh Kumar, reminisced about the formative years of EXUN and its past members who have grown to become leaders in their fields. He emphasized the ability of critical thinking of the human mind over artificial intelligence. He congratulated all the participants for their contributions to the success of EXUN 2025 and expressed his hope that the participating schools will come together to organise an even larger and more enriching symposium in the future.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Shweta Khurana, Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at Intel, commended the school and the EXUN clan for their exemplary spirit of collaboration. She expressed her admiration for the insightful experiences shared by the club presidents and extended her appreciation to the participants for their enthusiasm and active engagement. She concluded her address by quoting Robert Noyce, one of Intel’s founders: “Don’t be encumbered by history. Go out and do something wonderful.”

Thereafter, the winners and judges were felicitated for their achievements and contributions. The event concluded on a successful note with the Vote of Thanks acknowledging the collective efforts that made the programme possible, and the ceremony drew to a close with the National Anthem, invoking a sense of unity and honour. 

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj were declared as the overall winners.

LANGUAGE FESTIVAL 2025

“Language exerts hidden power, like the moon on the tides.”

The Annual Language Festival, held on 15 November 2025 at Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, aimed to highlight the school’s continued commitment to promoting multilingual excellence and fostering an appreciation for diverse linguistic traditions among students.

It gave participants the opportunity to develop their language skills by engaging in challenging linguistic and literary competitions. The events of the fest were a vibrant showcase of creativity, expression and cultural insight, offering participants the perfect platform to test their abilities in real-world communication scenarios. 

Ten competitions in five languages, namely, Hindi, Sanskrit, French, Spanish and German, were organised as a part of the fest. The events were as follows:

  1. HINDI: 

The festival commenced with the ‘काव्य-पाठ प्रतियोगिता’ (Kavya Path Pratiyogita), designed to foster a love for Hindi literature. This was followed by the ‘विज्ञापन प्रस्तुतीकरण’ (Vigyapan Prastutikaran), aimed at nurturing creativity, persuasive communication and innovative thinking through original advertisement concepts. Both events witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of Classes VI–XII. The competitions were judged by Ms Poonam Sharma and Ms Fatima Kirmani.

  1. SANSKRIT:

The Sanskrit events aimed to enhance the proficiency and fluency of the students in the language. The students of Classes VI-VIII participated in ‘साभिनयसंवाद’ with great enthusiasm and showcased their incredible skills in acting and dialogue. The students of Classes IX-X participated in ‘वार्तावली’. साभिनयसंवाद was judged by Dr Preeti Srivastava while वार्तावली was judged by Mr Hemant Joshi. 

  1. GERMAN:

A German Poetry Recitation Competition was organised for the students of Classes VI–VIII to nurture their appreciation of German literature. For the students of Classes IX–X, German Dialogue Enactment and Elocution competitions were conducted with the objective of strengthening communicative competence, encouraging creative expression and promoting spontaneity in spoken German. The Poetry Recitation event was judged by Ms Namrata Saigal, while the Dialogue Enactment for Class IX and the Elocution for Class X were judged by  Ms Disha Agarwal and Ms Lakshita Sharma, respectively.

  1. FRENCH:

A French poetry recitation competition was organised for the students of Classes VI–VIII and an elocution competition was organised for the students of Classes IX–X. Designed to cultivate an appreciation for French literature and build confidence in oral expression, both competitions inspired students to display creativity, clarity and linguistic flair. The participants delivered remarkable performances, reflecting strong preparation and enthusiasm. The French Poetry Recitation competition was judged by Ms Divya Bhatia, a distinguished member of the guest faculty at Delhi University, while the French Elocution was judged by Ms Babusha Verma, a well renowned author and French faculty at St. Stephen’s College at Delhi University. 

  1. Spanish:

Two competitions, namely, a Spanish poetry recitation for Classes VI–VIII and an elocution competition for Classes IX and X were organised which were designed to nurture students’ interest in Spanish language and literature and enhance confidence in public speaking. The events offered a platform for learners to express themselves creatively and fluently. The talented participants delivered exceptional performances in both the categories. The Spanish elocution competition was judged by Dr Lipi Biswas Sen, while the poetry recitation event was evaluated by Ms Shweta Agarwal.

The valedictory ceremony for the Language Fest 2025 began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the honoured guests: Ms. Stephanie Orfila –  Attachée for Cooperation in Education at the Institut Français, Embassy of France in India; Mr Sanjeev Bikhchandani – founder of Info Edge India Ltd; Dr. Rajram Yadav – the Deputy General Manager at the Delhi Metro and Guest Faculty at the Central Translation Bureau; Ms. Gaurie Dwivedi – journalist, author and classical dancer; along with the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar; the Vice Principal, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra and the Headmistress, Dr Anubha Gopal. It was followed by a presentation of a melodious French song by the students, after which a vibrant Spanish dance performance showcased the global ethos of the fest, captivating the audience with its energy and elegance. An Indian folk song was also presented by the school choir. 

The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, addressed the gathering, appreciating the talent displayed  by all the participants. He highlighted the need for curiosity and the spirit of enquiry  in students of all ages, affirming that DPS R.K. Puram continually nurtures these qualities through dedication and divine grace. He urged students to make the most of opportunities to learn from stalwarts and remain resilient.  He also congratulated all the participants and thanked the Vice Principals and Headmistress for their tireless efforts. 

Ms. Stephanie Orfila,  Attachée for Cooperation in Education at the Institut Français, Embassy of France in India, praised the outstanding performances she witnessed during the event. She also highlighted how multilingualism expands horizons and builds bridges across cultures. Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder of Info Edge India Ltd, reflected on his association with the school and stressed on inculcating in students the values of commitment, curiosity, good company and giving back to the community.

The winners of the various events were announced thereafter. They were invited to the stage and felicitated. Delhi Public School, Sector 30, Noida was declared as the overall winner of the fest. The valedictory ceremony of the Language Fest 2025 concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.
