The Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class X was hosted by Delhi Public
School, R.K Puram on 7th August 2019, for the academic year 2018-19,
where students were lauded for their academic and co-curricular
achievements. The theme for the ceremony was “Your choices should reflect hopes and not your fears.”

The Principal congratulated the students on their outstanding
achievements and welcomed the Chief Guest. She drew a parallel with the
story ‘Going Places’ by A.R. Barton, which talks of a poor girl who
dreams of a glamorous life. Unfortunately, her dreams are too
unrealistic to be true. She asked the students to have high aspirations
and work steadily towards making them a success .She also spoke of how
parents do not want their children to face failure, and instead advised
the parents present to bestow their children with values needed to fight
their own battles.
The melodic voices of the western choir heralded the commencement of
the cultural programme. This was followed by a skit that highlighted the
courage exhibited by eminent personalities in the face of fear and
adversity. The skit culminated into a dance to the lilting tunes of
‘Jeete Hain Chal’. The Cultural Programme ended with a poignant piece of
Hindi poetry and a Kathak performance.
Mr. Pramod Grover commended the students on their exceptional
performance and shared the story of his long standing association with
the school. He attributed the success of the school in cultural
activities, academics as well as sports, to the Principal, Ms. Vanita
Sehgal. He also emphasized the school’s success in foreign admissions,
something which hasn’t been matched by any other school.
