TOPIC: “HERITAGE AND TRADITIONS THAT SHAPE CHARACTER THROUGH DISCIPLINE AND VALUES: OUR SCHOOL’S CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY”

On April 30, 2025, the students of Class X-C and X-D came together to present an inspiring assembly centered around the theme, “The Legacy of DPS R.K. Puram – One Journey, Many Decades, One Legacy.” The theme reflected the institution’s proud journey, its values and the deep bond shared across generations of students.

The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer led by Adwita Srivastava, Chirag Sawariya, Devansh Bhatt, Divyansh Thakur, Krishiv Gaur, Manmeet Singh Sodhi, Parul, Samya Sharma, Sara Dey, Sarthak Sehrawat, Shivam Bhalla, Vivaan Tiwary, Viraj Aggarwal, Prafull Pradyun, Anant Arya, Vidhi Yadav, Madhu Verma, Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Shreshtha Kumar Kundalvar, Geetank Sood, Swastik, Abhay Singh, Achintya Sourabh, Abdul Rehman, Anik Chetry, Ashish Sharma, Veer Bhadoriya, Raj Varan, Sara Vijay, Namish Chopra, Qasim Rayyan Shahidi and H. Nidhi Surenu. This was followed by a powerful skit enacted by Arjun Sinha, Krishiv Gaur, Prishaa Dhingra, Rajat Sharma, Vedaant Shukla, Vivaan Singhal, Vivaan Tiwary, Vaideesh Agarwalla, S. Samyuktha, Vatsal Jain, Prafull Pradyun, Vedanshi Singh, Gairwin Singh, Pranay Sharma, Shreshtha Kumar Kundalvar, Geetank Sood, Abhay Singh, Ayana Bhardwaj, Amit Vikram Sharma, Tanishqa Malik and Sivanata Balodhi. Their performance beautifully depicted the values, achievements and traditions of DPS R.K. Puram. The Ram Vandana, performed by H. Nidhi Surenu, Sanvy Gugani, Naisha Khurana and Gauri Saxena, filled the atmosphere with a sense of reverence and devotion. The news segment, compiled and presented by Harsh Bhatnagar, Rakshit Abhiraj, Prachi Kumari and Harshveer Singh Narang, updated the audience with important events and milestones.

The Thought for the Day, presented by Samya Sharma and Yuval Gupta, reflected on the importance of carrying forward a proud legacy with integrity and vision. Self-composed poems were recited by Siddhi Mishra and Sara Vijay, capturing the emotions associated with the institution’s remarkable journey. An energetic and synchronized Sufi dance performance was presented by Aarna Aashi, Advika Langer, Anusha Tokas, Vanshika Sanwaria, Vidhi Yadav, H. Nidhi Surenu, Sanvy Gugani, Naisha Khurana and Gauri Saxena, representing the vibrant spirit of the school. The choir, featuring Adwita Srivastava, Devansh Bhatt, Samya Sharma, Sara Dey, Siddhi Mishra, Vaideesh Agarwalla, Vedaant Shukla, Vivaan Tiwary, Prachi Kumari, Viraj Aggarwal, Rishabh Raj Rout, Anant Arya, Vedanshi Singh, Geetank Sood, Abhay Singh, Sara Vijay and Qasim Rayyan Shahidi,presented a melodious and heartfelt song.They were supported by the instrumental music segment, performed by Gairwin Singh, Kabirinder Pal Singh, Purab Agarwal and Ankit Raj.

The e-invites were made by Kabirinder Pal Singh. The invitation cards and folders were crafted by Arjun Sinha, Mishti, Gauri Saxena, Aanya Garg, Khushi Pandey and Prishaa Dhingra. The board was decorated by Advika Langer, Krishiv Gaur, Parul, Prishaa Dhingra, Samya Sharma, Sankalp Saxena, Siddhi Mishra, Surbhi Jain, Mishti, Aanya Garg and Khushi Pandey. The time capsule model was made by Devansh Saini. The Digital presentation was curated by Vaideesh Agarwalla and Kabirinder Pal Singh, supporting each segment with meaningful visuals. It was run by Namish Chopra. The entire event was compered seamlessly by Akul Aggarwal, Surbhi Jain, Esh Sinha, Aisha Sachdeva and Kabirinder Pal Singh. The coordination and smooth execution of the program were overseen by Kabirinder Pal Singh and Viraj Aggarwal. The assembly served as a tribute to the illustrious legacy of DPS R.K. Puram, inspiring all to uphold its values and traditions with pride and dedication.

TOPIC: “TOGETHER WE RISE- CELEBRATING INCLUSIVITY AT DPS”

The assembly brings the importance of hardwork, perseverance and dedication to life through the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a powerful metaphor for self-belief, courage, and inclusivity in our school community.It speaks about Jonathan Livingston Seagull who feels excluded but finds his own happiness and changes the life of others as well and helps in overall growth of his community and strives for excellence.The programme started with The prayer Achhutam Keshavam by Twisha, Suhaan, Anirudhra, Aman, Anish, Kunal, Mayank, Aditi, Jalaj, Kangna, Parishee, Saanvi Agnihotri, Tanishi, Yashvi from XII U and Bhavini, Harsh, Lekhika, Russell, Shivam, Aarna, Hamd, Hana, Neelanjana, Ichpoorni, Kavya, Saarthak, Parmeshwarya, Shanaya, Shubham, Spreaha, Tiya, Vivaan, Yuvaditya, Yashica of XII V. This was followed by a Shiv Vandana by Laasya of XII U. Then the Children presented the skit showcasing Jonathan’s struggle by Alisha, Jayant, Aadya, Myrah, Saanvi Nanda, Ishaan, Bhavya, Reyaan of XII U and Shauryaveer, Aanya, Ishaan, Lekhika, Sonakshi, Rishita, Bhavini, Aanya of Class XIIV. The beautiful dances were presented by Dani Soniyo of XIIU and Jiya, Shruti Nandni, Vaanya Jain, Yaashikka Razdan, Anishaa, Samriddhi of XII V. The song ‘Heal the World ‘ by Michael Jackson was sung by the Western Music Choir and the instrumentalists comprising of Kulsoom, Bhavya, DivyaShakti, Yashvi, Amyra, Aanya, Dhruv, Rindiki, Vanlalenkawli, Mukti, Deepti, Angel, Saksham, Suhaan and Mahi Ramteke, Arahant Singh, Adhiya Bhat, Karthik, and Shubhangi. The comperes for the assembly were Gauravi and Maanya of XII U and Anishaa of XII V. The beautiful cards, folders and the board were made by Mukti, Rindiki, Vanlalenkawli of XII U and Neelanjana Maggo, Yaashikka Razdan, Aadya Gupta, Lekhika, Aditi Singh, Hana of XIIV. The presentation was made by Suhaan and Tvisha of XII U and Thavanesh, Gunraj of XII V. The script was written by Jayant, Alisha of XII U and Shauryaveer, Aanya of XII V. The Assembly came to an end by singing the School anthem and the National Anthem.

TOPIC: “TOGETHER WE RISE- CELEBRATING INCLUSIVITY AT DPS”

The class assembly on the theme “Together We Rise: Legacy of DPS R.K. Puram” was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring values, unity, and excellence that define our prestigious institution. The programme beautifully reflected the spirit of collaboration, pride, and respect for tradition, as students came together to honour the rich legacy of DPS R.K. Puram.

The morning began on a soulful note with a serene prayer, “Yeh Mat Kaho Khuda Se,” rendered by students Kaavya, Ami, Akshay, Ananya, Swapnil, Aanya, Aditya Koul, Fardeen, Rachit, Shourya, Satya, and Akshat. Their melodious voices created a calm and reverent atmosphere, setting the tone for the meaningful events that followed. The audience was then addressed by our respected Vice Principal, Mr. Naresh Kumar Miglani, whose words inspired students to uphold the values of unity, perseverance, and collective growth that have long been hallmarks of the DPS community.

The assembly continued with an elegant Ganesh Vandana, a classical dance performance by Aadya, Kenisha, Sara, and Krita, which paid homage to the remover of obstacles and invoked blessings for a successful event. A special mention goes to the articulate and graceful compères Nikita, Gauri, and Sriyah, whose seamless coordination and engaging narration ensured a smooth and captivating flow of the program. A dynamic and thought-provoking theatrical act followed, encompassing various segments. The news section, delivered by Anshika and Abhigyan, highlighted achievements and current updates, paving the way for the impactful nukkad natak (street play). Performed by Aadya, Kenisha, Gauri, Abhigyan, Satya, Nikhil, and Arth, the play illustrated powerful scenes capturing the essence of the DPS legacy — from academic excellence and social responsibility to the power of togetherness in creating positive change.

Next, the school choir captivated the audience with their rendition of “Just a Cloud Away,” performed by Kanika, Gauri, Ananya, Swapnil, and Sriyah, with instrumental accompaniment by Shourya, Aarush, and Rachit. The song brought an air of optimism and unity, echoing the theme of the assembly. This was followed by a vibrant and energetic dance segment featuring a medley of performances by Sara, Yashika, Krita, Kenisha, Aadya, Nikita, Satya, Swapnil, Fardeen, Kayaan, Arth, Nikhil, and Shrey. The dancers mesmerised the audience with their enthusiasm and synchronisation, celebrating the spirit of youth, culture, and collaboration. The assembly concluded on a high note with a Grand Finale performance on “India Wale,” showcasing a large ensemble of students. This final act was a spectacular celebration of national pride, teamwork, and the collective identity that binds the DPS community together.

The pin board, creatively curated by Prisha, Nikita, and Aadya, visually represented the theme and added a beautiful backdrop to the entire event, enhancing its aesthetic and thematic appeal. Overall, the assembly was a resounding success — a vivid reminder that together, we rise, carrying forward the DPS legacy with pride, unity, and unwavering spirit.
