An Orientation Programme was held for the parents of students of Class X on 17 April 2017 from 2:15 PM to 4.00 PM. The sessions took place in the classrooms allotted to the respective sections of Class X. The parents were able to acquaint themselves with the environment their child is in. It was a feeling of back to school for the parents. It was a productive afternoon for the parents and the teachers, who had a chance to interact with each other. The class teachers briefed them about the code of conduct and examination scheme for Class X.
The Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, warmly welcomed the parents and assured them of the school’s commitment in ensuring their child’s growth and development. The Vice Principal Ms. Anita Singh, also addressed the parents. She spoke about the school rules and the new assessment scheme in detail, to ensure that the parents are suitable informed. Ms. Shaloo Khanna and Ms. Vinita Gupta, the class reps, also introduced themselves to the parents. All class teachers and subject teachers of the various sections spoke in detail about the prescribed textbooks, notebooks, the syllabi and the new assessment pattern.
The goal of the Orientation Programme was to ensure that the parents are at ease about the new examination scheme and any query related to any subject could be sorted out, and a warm interaction between the parents and the teachers ensured the same.
