BACK TO SCHOOL – Orientation Programme for the Parents of Students of Class VI

An Orientation Programme was held for the parents of students of class VI sections A to F on 5th April 2017 and sections G to K on 6th April 2017 from 2:30 PM onwards. As the sessions took place in the classrooms allotted to the respective sections of class VI, the parents were able to acquaint themselves with the environment their child would soon be walking into. It was a productive afternoon for the parents and the teachers, who had a chance to interact with each other before the beginning of the new session.

The Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, warmly welcomed the parents and assured them of the school’s commitment in ensuring their child’s growth and development. The Headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra, also addressed the parents. She spoke about the school rules and the new assessment scheme in detail, to ensure that the parents are suitable informed. Ms. Payal and Ms. Pratibha, the class reps, also introduced themselves to the parents. All class teachers and subject teachers of the various sections spoke, in detail, about the prescribed textbooks, notebooks, the syllabi and the new assessment pattern.

The goal of the Orientation Programme was to ensure that the parents are at ease about the transition of the students from the junior schools to the senior school, and a warm interaction between the parents and the teachers ensured the same.
