Nature’s Canvas -an Intersection Biology Diagram Making Competition was organised by the Biology Department of DPS RK Puram for the students of Class XI and XII on 7th August 2026. The Objective was to encourage students to think beyond textbooks and also develop collaborative skills, promote eco awareness and visual learning of biological concepts. Participants were supposed to draw and label diagrams related to anatomy and physiology and decorate them using eco-friendly materials such as pulses, wilted flowers, leaves, spices, as well as other eco-friendly products
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 20 teams. Each team showcased not only scientific understanding but also aesthetic expression. The Principal and Headmistress then viewed the diagrams and appreciated the children’s success in blending biological concepts with unique creativity.
This was followed by a brief question-and-answer discussion between the Principal and the students further to promote a deep passion for the biological sciences. Entries were evaluated based on creativity, scientific relevance and overall presentation. The Principal appreciated the unique and creative approach of presenting the diagrams. At the same time, he admired participants’ evident passion for Biology.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our Principal, Mr Anil Kumar for his generous presence at the event and interacting heartfully with the students . Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Niva Chhonkar, Head of Biology Department. She congratulated all the winners and encouraged all the participants.
