Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram hosted the Infinitus Reus 2019 – an Annual Interschool One-day Quizzing Festival by the school’s Quizzing Club on August 3, 2019. The event, sponsored by Leverage Edu and coordinated by the Club’s Teacher In-Charge, Mr Arvind, aimed to bring together the young, ignited minds in the NCR quizzing circuit to blend together healthy competition, bustling talent and info-entertainment. This club, founded in 1983, is the school’s oldest and the most prestigious club.
This year, a total of twenty three schools, represented by forty teams, turned up for the event which was conducted by top quizmasters like Siddhant Shah, Abhimanyu Sinha, Anahida Bhardwaj and Hibah Mirza, Alumni, DPS R. K. Puram. There were a total of three categories of quizzes – a Junior Quiz for classes 6-8, a Senior Quiz for classes 9-12 and a MEAL (music, entertainment, art and literature) quiz. The Opening Ceremony announced the commencement of the preliminary round for the Junior (6-8), Senior (9-12) and MEAL categories, wherein the teams were guided to their respective venues and were required to take a preliminary Pen-Paper test.
Six teams in all three categories qualified for the finals . The finals of all three quizzes engaged them in a verbal round testing their knowledge of a plethora of general topics, through the method of “infinite bounces and counts”, allowing each participant to answer every question.
The valedictory ceremony commenced with a mellifluous instrumental band performance by the students of DPS RK Puram, paying tribute to the rich cultural heritage of our country.
In the much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony, the Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal,gave away the prestigious trophies and certificates to the deserving winners.
The event concluded with the National Anthem.
