On 28 June,2019 the Farewell Ceremony of Vice Principal,Mrs Anita Singh was conducted in the Audio Visual Hall of DPS, R.K Puram. Mrs.Anita Singh completed 35 years of distinguished service.She joined the school as a Biology teacher and after having served as House warden,Head of the Biology Department and Head mistress of classes VI and VII. She retired as the Vice Principal of the school.A recipient of the State Award for the Best Teacher in 2016, Mrs.Anita Singh was a popular teacher and liked equally both by her students and colleagues.
The Music department started the day’s programme with a medley of songs sung in Hindi and English.It was followed by a short powerpoint presentation depicting the tenure of Mrs.Anita Singh at DPS,R.K Puram. The plaque and bouquet presentation by the Principal Ms.Vanita Sehgal was followed by her address in which she narrated nostalgically anecdotes from Mrs Singh’s career. After, the Principal’s speech Mrs Renu Nayar, Vice Principal, Ms Padma Srinivasan, Vice Principal, Mrs Rashmi Malhotra, Headmistress expressed their share of experiences with Mrs Anita Singh. The members of the teaching faculty also spoke in honour of Mrs Anita Singh. Mrs Nita Vijay Kumar, Mrs Sushma Sardana and the Headmistress of Vasant Vihar, Mrs Archana Pental shared their experiences of working and learning from Mrs Anita Singh. The final speech of the day was by Mrs Anita Singh which made the audience go through a surge of emotions as she spoke about her tenure at DPS, R.K Puram. She concluded her speech with a short powerpoint presentation which was not only motivating but also very sentimental in the message it portrayed of giving blessings for what you have.
