A Capacity Building Programme on Decoding Adolescents was held on 28 June,2019, which was attended by the teachers of middle,secondary and senior secondary school of DPS,R.K Puram. A total of 207 teachers participated in the In- House workshop which was held from 8.00am-11.00am.
The workshop started with the Principal ,Ms Vanita Sehgal felicitating the resource person Mrs Usha Anand,a senior trainer with CBSE and other agencies for scholastic and co-scholastic areas.The three hour workshop touched upon the various aspects of understanding the Adolescents and handling them in a manner which is both constructive and positive.
The entire session of the workshop was held in an interactive manner.The teachers were divided into different groups who were asked to take the role of Teachers,Parents and Adolescents. The responses of the respective groups led to a healthy discussion of how to understand the challenges of the Adolescents and the measures that need to be followed. The objective of Decoding Adolescents was successfully achieved as the participants understood the DOs and DON’Ts of dealing with Adolescents.
