Class Presentation XI-X 17-12-2020

Topic- Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.” – Mark Twain. Courage is a highly prized virtue, and is possessed by all living species in varying degrees but when we talk about human courage, for some, it is buried deep in hearts and psyches; for others, it is a bright light that guides every step. The students of XI-X talked about this exceptional virtue that is courage and how it is driven inside us by its very nemesis- fear.

The class presentation commenced with a thoughtful shloka, on the importance of sharing knowledge, by Dimple, with an enlightening explanation given by Vidushi Shanker, and an energetic welcome by Nandini. This was followed by the introduction of the topic by Samarth Anand. Later, a short prayer-the Mool mantra- ‘Ik Omkar’ or ‘God is one’- was soulfully sung by Mannat Singh. A powerful and thought-provoking speech by Sanskriti Sharma and Parthivi Guglani emphasised the importance of the Vijay Diwas celebrated every year on 16th December. Aishwarya Vig then presented a beautiful thought on the topic, following which Abheejay Singh introduced a self-composed  poem by Saanvie Verma, who was accompanied by Adya Gupta on the guitar. Ishaan Mahajan delivered an insightful thought that acted as a perfect introduction to a short speech by Aanya Roy and Harshit Kumar on the historic Goa Liberation Day celebrated each year on 19th December. Abheejay Singh then introduced a melodious English song- Titanium by Sanah Kharabanda, Saina Gambhir and Aishi Pandey. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Udita Samyal. The beautiful invites were designed by Saanvie Verma and Ruheen Kohli. The presentation was made by Anandit Thakur, who also compiled the audios with the help from Ishan Verma.
