“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.” — Nelson Mandela
A workshop on “The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act” was conducted for teachers in the Audio Visual Hall on 18 March 2024. The resource person spoke in detail about the prevalence of child abuse in our society and emphasized the role of teachers in ensuring the safety and security of children.
The workshop highlighted the importance of identifying symptoms of behavioral changes in students that may indicate abuse, and the role teachers can play in educating and training students to face the challenges of child abuse. Many shocking incidents of child abuse were revealed, and teachers were informed about helpline numbers, apps, and the POCSO E-box.
