A two day Capacity Building Program was conducted for all teachers by the experts from CBSE in the Audio Visual Hall and Seminar Hall (for two groups of teachers) on 19 and 20 March 2024. Day 1 started with a brief introduction to mental health and well being in contemporary times. The experts then conducted subject wise sessions in groups of two on Experiential Learning: Hands on Activities. They asked the teachers to construct a subject based lesson plan based on Bloom’s Taxonomy including the three learning domains- cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain. The teachers enthusiastically demonstrated their lesson plans and evaluated each other’s work. The session was extremely interactive and helpful for all.

Day 2 started with an introduction to L.A.A.R. i.e. Learning objective, teaching/learning Activity, ongoing Assessment and Reflective practices. Thereafter, the teachers were divided into groups of diverse subjects and were asked to make a sample activity plan using newspapers that should include various Multiple Intelligences. The teachers demonstrated their respective activities and understood the correlation between objectives (competencies) and outcomes. The two days were extremely enlightening, informative and channelled the creativity of our teachers.
