The Kanwar Ashish Cricket Tournament 2025 Under-7 (Boys & Girls) commenced on 16th September 2025 with a grand opening ceremony marked by enthusiasm and excitement. The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, warmly welcomed the students, teachers and parents from various schools. In his inaugural address, he emphasised the pivotal role of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline and school spirit, while highlighting the values of sportsmanship and the joy of healthy competition.
The tournament saw spirited participation from several school teams, with matches held on the school grounds amid loud cheers from students, parents and teachers. Each game reflected outstanding talent and determination, showcasing remarkable performances from both bowlers and batsmen.
The final match, held on 26th September 2025, was a thrilling contest between DPS East of Kailash and DPS Sector-122, Noida. The nail-biting tournament kept spectators on edge till the last ball, with DPS Sector-122, Noida, emerging as the champions and lifting the coveted trophy.
Awards were presented in various categories, including Wizkid of the Match, Player of the Tournament, Best Bowler, Best Female Bowler, and Best Batsman, celebrating both individual brilliance and team effort.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, the Chief Guest, Mr Atul Wassan, a Former Indian Cricketer, and the Guests of Honour, Mr Raj Kumar Sharma, Dronacharya Awardee and Col. Amarbir Singh, Former Adviser, MIS YAS & DDCA. They applauded the young cricketers for their dedication, discipline and true sporting spirit.
The event concluded with a group photograph and resounding cheers, marking the successful culmination of a memorable tournament that celebrated talent, teamwork, and the true spirit of cricket.
The girls’ athletics team of Delhi Public School R.K.Puram delivered a record-breaking performance at the IPSC National Athletics Meet, held at Emerald Heights International School, Indore, from 22nd to 24th September 2025. Competing against top athletes from leading schools across the country, Our girls showcased exceptional strength, discipline, and teamwork, bringing home a total of 20 medals — 6 Gold, 12 Silver, and 2 Bronze.
In the U-17 Girls category, Sanika khare (IX I) emerged as one of the standout performers with six medals, including Gold in 4 km Cross Country and 4×100 m Relay, Silver in 1500 m, 3000 m, and 4×400 m Relay, and Bronze in 800 m. Aaliya Akbar (X-B) also had an excellent meet, winning Silver in 100 m and 4×400 m Relay, Bronze in 200 m, and Gold in 4×100 m Relay. Astha Agarwal (IX-M) and Neeva Jain (IX-J) added to the tally with Gold in 4×100 m Relay and Silver in 4×400 m Relay.
In the U-14 Girls category, Archisa Bhattacharya (IX-N) clinched Gold in High Jump, while Aanya Singh (IX-E) bagged Silver in 100 m and was part of the Silver-winning 4×100 m Relay team along with Khanak Soni (VIII-F) , Naira Naqshbandi (VIII F), and Shanaya Arora (VIII-B).

CBSE National Shooting Championship was held at Jaypee International school Greater Noida from 10-14th September 2025.Ritwik Rudr of class VIII D Won Bronze Medal in the Boys U-14 Rifle Shooting Category.

Mehar Talashi of Class IX and Devansh Kumar of Class X of DPS R.K.Puram participated in the State Round of INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) National Heritage Quiz conducted at India International Centre ,New Delhi on the 9th of October 2025 .The team was awarded the Third position.

TOPIC: “LEGACY OF HUMAN INTELLECT AT DPS RKP”
The morning of 14th October 2025 witnessed a captivating and intellectually vibrant assembly presented by Class XI U on the theme “Footprints in Time – Legacy of Intellect at DPS R.K. Puram.” The assembly beautifully celebrated the enduring journey of knowledge, values, and creativity that define the school’s legacy.
The proceedings began with a warm and graceful welcome by the poised comperes Pratyusha and Shaurya, who set a cordial and engaging tone for the morning. The atmosphere soon filled with serenity as Anika, Anshi, Sejal, Palak, Luvish, Shubham, Sanchit, Pranav, Abhijit, Kartik, Amitabh, Suditi, Sonakshi, Hundai, Swastik, Prasiddh, and Parth led the Morning Prayer, invoking divine blessings and positivity. This was followed by an enchanting Invocation Dance by Shrutika, whose expressive movements radiated devotion, grace, and rhythm, symbolizing the continuity of tradition and intellect. The Thought for the Day, presented thoughtfully by Rajnandani and Suditi, encouraged everyone to cherish the wisdom of the past while shaping a brighter future with intellect and compassion.
A thought-provoking Skit performed by Anshi, Anika, Rajnandani, Shah Ibrahim, Pratyusha, Suditi, Aishaani, Kimaya, Pranav, Saksham, Tejsev, Sejal, Amitabh, and Swastik skillfully portrayed how the footprints of great minds continue to inspire generations. Their expressive acting, humor, and dialogue delivery left a lasting impression on the audience. Pratyusha and Swastik further enriched the atmosphere with their self-composed poem, a heartfelt reflection on learning, growth, and the timeless spirit of DPS R.K. Puram. The assembly’s rhythm and energy heightened with a spirited Western Dance by Aadya, Anushree, Aishaani, and Shriya, whose synchronized moves symbolized the vibrant dynamism of youth. The melodious Western Song by KH Lalruathlui and Hundai filled the venue with harmony and joy, adding a lyrical charm to the morning.
Behind the scenes, the Creative Team — Kimaya, Megha, Falguni, Naisha, Maira, Myra, and Parth — showcased remarkable artistry through thoughtful props, visual aesthetics, and stage décor. The seamless coordination of visuals and sound was managed proficiently by Shreyansh, Devansh, Maira, and Myra, who handled the Digital Presentation with technical finesse. The assembly concluded with words of appreciation and reflection, celebrating the collective effort, creativity, and intellectual spirit of Class XI U. It truly left behind “footprints in time,” embodying the legacy of intellect and excellence that defines DPS R.K. Puram.

Keeping the theme – “The Legacy of DPS RK Puram” in mind, the Class Assembly began with a melodious morning prayer. – “Har Desh me tu, Har Vesh me tu” which was sung by Zashmeen Khan, Ojas Thapliyal, Aviral Agrawal, Manvik Jain, Madhav Sharan, Uddhav Shankar Oberoi, Aarav Gosai, Kabir Mehta, Siddharth Srivastava, Alekhit Singh, Vrinda Goyal and Yatharth Kothari.
The Prayer was followed by the Vishnu Stotram performed by Aadya Menon, Tisha Verma and Pranavi Kapoor. Sahir Gosain introduced the skit: “From Roots to Wings”. The students of Class 11-B and 11-D delivered a wonderfully engaging and well-coordinated skit, showcasing their exceptional talent, creativity, and confidence on stage. Thereafter, Avani Kumar and Aansh Khandari shared the thoughts for the day. News headlines were presented by Pranjai Shah, Aviral Agrawal, Uddhav Shankar Oberoi and Avechal Roy. Afterwards Avani Kumar mesmerized the audience with her beautifully self-composed poem. This was followed by a set of insightful speeches by Aarav Gosai and Anika Kumbhat.
Thereafter, A group of talented students delivered a melodious choir performance, enchanting the audience with their harmonious voices, rhythm, and musical finesse performed by Ojas Thapliyal, Yatharth Kothari, Siddharth Srivastava, Aryaveer Singh, Myra Kang, Jayant Kartik Saidingliana Sailo, Andrea Lallianhlui, Lalruathlui and K Lalhruaizela. Furthermore the stage came alive with an energetic Bhangra performance performed by Aadya Menon, Tisha Verma, Pranavi Kapoor, Shweta Behal and Poshika Himanshu. The comperes of the programme were Sahir Gosain and Khwahish Tokas. The invitation cards, folders and board were made by Soubhik Giri, Aviral Agrawal, Prakhar Ahuja, Ayesha Tamim and Aditya Raj. Delhi Public School R.K. Puram hosted the Annual Dr. Prem Kirpal Memorial Inter-school Art and Poetry Competitions – Art Poetica on 12 April 2025 in fond memory of Dr. Prem Kirpal, the former Chairman of the Delhi Public School Society. This annual event brought together students from 20 schools who participated in six diverse competitions, each providing a platform to showcase their creativity, experiment with new forms of artistic expression and delve into the fascinating world of art and poetry.”
The various competitions included the following-
Blend Art (Classes IX and XI) had students recite and dramatise an English poem based on various social issues and themes, as well as create paintings or sketches that captured the soul of the poem. The event was judged by Ms Sabah Bari, Ms Manisha Manocha and Mr VC Pramod.
Artistic Poesy (Classes IX and XI) challenged the students to promptly compose a ballad that connected a series of pictures, which were presented to them, in a random order. The event was judged by Dr Shwetanshu Bhushan, Ms Anupama Singh and Ms Shivangi Chakraborty.
Lyrical Canvas (Classes IX & XI) was an on-the-spot drawing competition which required participants to portray the predominant emotion evoked by a unique line in a poem. The judges included Mr Pankaj Guru, Mr Shashi Paul and Ms Hena.
Inverse Rhapsody (Classes VI-VIII) was an imaginative competition where participants were given an excerpt from a poem and the participants from the same team were given the task to recite the given poem in contrasting emotions . The judges for the event were Ms Saroj Chawla, Ms Esha Bakshi and Ms Nishtha Singhal.
Stage-a-Verse (Classes IX and XI) involved a unique performance by the students of class IX and XI, where they staged an original play based on a visual prompt provided to them. The event was judged by Mr Manish Guptaa Guru, Ms Garima Arya and Mr Brij Bhardwaj.
Poetic Silhouette (Classes VI-VIII)
This onstage competition involved writing a script offstage, in verse which must rhyme, on the given visual prompt. It was followed by the enactment of the script onstage.The event was judged by Ms. Alka Mahajan, Ms. Juhi and Ms. Sugandha Bhandari.
Valedictory Ceremony:
The grand Valedictory Ceremony was hosted on 28 September 2025 with great enthusiasm. The school was honoured by the presence of eminent dignitaries. Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, Chairman, The Delhi Public School Society, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Shri V.K. Shunglu, Chairman of the Managing Committee of DPS R.K. Puram and Vice Chairman of DPS Society, accompanied by Mrs. Shunglu. The event was presided over by Hon’ble Shri B.N. Kirpal, former Chief Justice of India and Member, DPS Society, along with his daughter, Ms. Nandini Arora. Other distinguished guests included Ms. Namita Pradhan, Honorary Treasurer, DPS Society and Ms. Vrinda Swarup, Member, DPS Society. The guests were welcomed by the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar,the Vice Principals: Mr Naresh Miglani, Mr Anil Kathuria and Mr Mukesh Kumar; the Headmistresses: Ms Rashmi Malhotra , Dr Anubha Gopal, Ms Vinita Gupta and Ms Usha Diptivilasa , the Heads of the English and Art Department, Dr. Atika Dayal and Mr. Amit Rajput.
The event began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of the esteemed guests: Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, Hon’ble Shri B.N. Kirpal, Shri V.K. Shunglu, Smt. Madhu Shunglu, Ms. Namita Pradhan, Ms. Vrinda Swarup, The Principal Mr. Anil Kumar, Vice Principals : Mr. Naresh Miglani and Mr. Anil Kathuria and Mr Mukesh Kumar; the Headmistresses: Ms. Rashmi Malhotra, Ms. Anubha Gopal, Ms. Usha Diptivilas and Ms Vinita Gupta.This was followed by the felicitation of the guests by our esteemed Principal Mr. Anil Kumar.
The Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, during his address paid a befitting tribute to the vision of Dr. Prem Kirpal and underscored the importance of pursuing art and poetry alongside academics to nurture deeper perspectives on life.
A short film showcased the year-round activities of the English Department, reflecting the vibrant literary culture of the school. This was followed by a riveting theatrical presentation of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. The students’ powerful acting, evocative dialogues, and authentic stagecraft transported the audience into Christie’s world of suspense and mystery, keeping them captivated till the very last moment.
The award ceremony recognised the outstanding achievements of participants, with DPS Noida, Sector 30 lifting the prestigious Rolling Trophy. The occasion also saw the release of the school’s annual literary magazine, The Bubbling Cauldron, a collection of students’ poems and creative writings.
In their inspiring addresses, the dignitaries praised the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity. Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, the Chairman of DPS Society, lauded the grandeur of the ceremony and the remarkable theatrical performance. Shri V.K. Shunglu, Chairman of the Managing Committee of DPS R.K. Puram & Vice Chairman of DPS Society, reflected on the school’s legacy in science and technology and applauded its growing emphasis on the liberal arts. Ms. Vrinda Swarup, Member, DPS Society, who had previously witnessed The Mousetrap in London, commended the students for an equally, if not more, compelling adaptation.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Atika Dayal, Head of the English Department, followed by the National Anthem.
Manaal Azhar of Class XI-B, of Delhi Public School R.K.Puram, participated as a member of ‘Team Manaal’ in the ‘Drone Soccer’ sub event of ‘Technoxian 2025 world robotics championship 9.0 organised by ‘Technoxian.com’, 225 US Complex, Jasola New Delhi – 110076, from Saturday, 30th August 2025 to Tuesday 2nd September 2025 and held at Noida Indoor Stadium, Actor , Noida. Her team bagged the winners trophy and the cash prize.
In addition to teams from various Indian states of Kerala,Tamilnadu, Andhra, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, international teams from Russia, Iran, Iraq, Ghana, Costarica, Azerbaijan, Nepal, and Bangladesh also participated in multiple events of Technoxian 2025.

Puram, on 8th September, when the school celebrated World Literacy Day with enthusiasm and purpose. To mark the occasion, a lively Book Fair was held for students of Classes VI to VIII, transforming the school premises into a haven for book lovers.
The Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, inaugurated the fair and reminded everyone that reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge, and endless possibilities.Students eagerly explored the novels, biographies, science books, and more. For many, it was a chance to discover new stories, new worlds, and new ideas. The event beautifully captured the essence of literacy, proving that books are not just pages, but bridges that connect minds and shape the future.
