The Orientation Programme for parents of Class VI took place at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on April 18, 2024. It commenced with the introduction of the Class Teacher and Subject Teachers for their respective sections. Parents were briefed o school regulations, discipline, assessment methods, subjects, and other pertinent information. Ms. Padma Srinivasan, the Principal, delivered a message to all parents through the PA system. The Head Mistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal, along with Class VI Representatives Ms. Aastha Bablani and Ms. Bhargavi Bisht, warmly welcomed and wished all the parents the best for the upcoming academic session.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME CLASS VII 2024-2025
The Orientation Programme for parents of Class VII took place at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on April 16,2024. It commenced with the introduction of the Class teachers and Subject teachers of their respective sections. Parents received guidance on school rules and regulations, discipline, assessment pattern, teaching pedagogy and other important details. Ms. Padma Srinivasan, the Principal, addressed all parents via the PA system. The Head Mistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal, along with Class VII Representatives Ms.Mahima Goel and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur extended a warm welcome and conveyed best wishes for the new academic session.

Topic: “HAPPINESS BEGINS WITH GOOD HEALTH”
Eat healthy, exercise daily, work hard, worry less, stay strong, think positively, keep up the faith- these are the key ingredients to a happy and healthy life.
On Tuesday, the 16th of April 2024, the students of classes XII-F and XII-G presented their class assembly which highlighted the essence of good health.
The assembly commenced with a melodious prayer “Achyutam Keshavam” sung by Aahaan Gupta, Adveitesha Pratap, Anushka Singh, Aryan Sejwal, Kushagra Agrawal, Mishika Kansal, Pranav Akshar Goel, Rishika Vani, Shaurya Saini, Siddid Agarwal, Tanushri, Manisha Sahoo, Yashmita Kumari, Yukti Malhotra, Aakarsh, Ansh Kumar, Farhan Naseem, Kushagra Jha, Aaahana Mehrotra, Devisha Aneja, Vrinda Aggarwal, Prisha Gupta, Swastika Dubey, Niyati Agarwal. This was followed by a Vandana performed by Prisha Gupta, Niyati Agarwal, Vrinda Aggarwal and Srishti Singh.
Shloka recitation and its translation was done by Anant Dev, Vrinda Aggarwal and Sanyam Asthana. Thought for the day was presented by Nirupam Pal followed by News reading by Ansh Bhatia, Shaurya Saini, Atharva Singh and Devisha Aneja.
A Short skit was enacted by Aahaan Gupta, Yashmita Kumari, Aaahana Mehrotra, Atharvajeet Singh, Aakarsh, Kabir, Ansh Bhatia, Anvit Bhushan, Adhyayan Sharma and narrated by Aakarsh Verma and Adveitesha Pratap. The speech was delivered by Dhruv Chhaparia, Rayan Ali Jan, Twamadhi Sar, Agrim Sood, Tanushri, Atharvajeet Singh and Yashmita Kumari.
A motivational rendition was sung by the class choir which comprised of Tanvi Dahiya, Aryan Sejwal, Yukti Malhotra, Mishika Kansal, Arush Sharma, Maanav Mishra, Lokesh Dayal, Kushagra Agrawal, Ansh Bhatia, Mohammad Fahad Sayeed, Lakshay Nawariya, Aahaan Gupta, Shaurya Saini, Alankar Akinchan, Adveitesha Pratap, Pranjal Vashishth, Nikhil Singh, Shaurya Gautam, Swastika Dubey, Nirupam Pal, Yash Kumar and Rohak Tiwari. Twamadi Sar played the drums, Sanyam Asthana was on the keyboard and the guitar was played by Pranshu Sabharwal, Vinayak Raj, Divit Gupta and Sujoy Behera.
The assembly concluded with an energetic dance performance by Soham Jain, Sunik Maggu, Srishti Singh, Vinayak Raj, Agrim Sood, Aaahana Mehrotra, Nikhil Singh, Vrinda Aggarwal, Prisha Gupta, Pranjal Vashisht, Dhruv Chhaparia and Niyati Agarwal.
The comperes were Tanvi Dahiya and Avi Aryan.The soft board, invitations, and folders were made by the art team comprising of Rishika Vani, Srishti Singh, Yashmita Kumari, Yukti Malhotra, Manisha Sahoo, Mishika Kansal, Devisha Aneja, Suryansh Khanna, and Atharva Singh.The digital presentation was made by Maanav Mishra, Lokesh Dayal, Atharva Singh, Devisha Aneja, and Tejas Chowdhary.

Class X Orientation Programme (2024-25)
An Orientation Programme for the parents of Class X students was organised on Friday, 12 April, 2024. The Orientation Programme focussed on introducing the parents to the respective subject teachers, sharing the curriculum of various subjects, scheme of studies and the assessment pattern.
The Principal, Ms Padma Srinivasan warmly welcomed the parents. She spoke about the CBSE Board Examinations and the different aspects which the parents and students should focus upon to prepare for the same.
The Headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra spoke to the parents about the value of discipline along with the need for the involvement of parents in the learning process of their wards. The Class Representatives reiterated the importance of being regular to school. The Class teachers explained the code of conduct to be followed by the students. The parents were appreciative of the school’s efforts to facilitate an interaction with the subject teachers and the class teachers.
Class XI Orientation Programme (2024-25)
An Orientation Programme for the parents of Class XI students was organised on Wednesday, 10 April, 2024. The programme focussed on introducing the parents to their ward’s class teacher and subject teachers, sharing the curriculum of various subjects, scheme of studies and the assessment pattern.
The Principal, Ms Padma Srinivasan warmly welcomed the parents. She spoke about the class curriculum, code of conduct, importance of punctuality, keeping abreast with latest developments and updates in school through the student’s official email address and keeping teachers updated with their wards’ medical issues if any, presence of the school counsellors and various other aspects which the parents and students should focus upon.
The Vice Principals, Mr Naresh Miglani and Mr Anil Kathuria emphasised on the value of discipline and not to carry any gadgets to school along with the need for the involvement of parents in the learning process of their wards. The Class Representatives reiterated the importance of regularity and coordinating with the class teachers on a regular basis. The Class teachers explained the importance of disciplined behaviour and regular attendance of the students. Each subject teacher gave a detailed analysis of the curriculum pattern and evaluation analysis in the respective subjects. The parents were appreciative of the school’s efforts to facilitate an interaction with the subject teachers and the class teachers.
Class IX Orientation Programme (2024-25)
An Orientation programme was organised for the parents of class IX new admissions on April 9th 2024 & 19th April 2024 for the parents of Class IX. The purpose of the Orientation Programme was to introduce the parents to the respective Class teachers and subject teachers as well as to introduce them to the curriculum of the various subjects.

Universities Fair 2024
Delhi Public School, RK Puram, hosted over 23 International Universities at the Universities Fair 2024 held on 9 April 2024 at the Facility Wing from 10 am to 1 pm. Prestigious universities from the US and Hong Kong participated in this programme. University representatives interacted with students of classes XI and XII , providing them with important information related to the university as well as the application process and answered the queries of the prospective applicants. Representatives from the U.S. Universities participating were from the University of Delaware, University of Oklahoma, Stony Brook University, St. John’s University, Kansas State University to name a few. The representatives from Hong Kong were from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, amongst others. The dynamic universities offered a vast range of courses such as Engineering, Business Management, Law, Art, Design and a plethora of liberal art courses to choose from. Students who attended this event and learned about the various aspects of international higher education, admissions, tuition fee and potential careers offered to them. The fair was a bright opportunity for high school students of our school to gain a better understanding of university education in the United States and Hong Kong and plan their future with an informed perspective.
