TOPIC: LIVE AND LET LIVE
‘I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it’-said Evelyn Beatrice Hall.
LIVE AND LET LIVE is a concept often used loosely by all and sundry, but not necessarily understood by all. Leading a life of personal freedom and morally sound principles, while not encroaching on another’s right to do the same, is something one would think belongs to a utopian society. However, this concept is not as far-fetched as one might first think. It requires a certain sense of maturity and tolerance to accept other people’s views, opinions and habits even if they don’t match our own. We may not agree with or understand other people’s opinions and way of living, but we still need to accept them.
This message was aptly expressed by classes XI- S and XI- T in the form of poetry, dance and music, the best methods of conveying matters of great relevance in today’s strife torn world.
