Topic: ‘A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed ‘

Friendship is one of  the most beautiful relationships known to mankind. Friendship teaches us the virtues of trust, love and of course makes us happier. We must also not forget that “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” People who help us in time of need are our true friends. We must be vary of fair weather friends. The students of class VIII-G beautifully rendered this idea by incorporating it in their thoughts for the day, skit, choir and the graceful dances. The skit showcased the journey of a man to Heaven and Hell and how even in the time of severe necessity to do so, he did not abandon his friends. Every relationship should be based on truth; as also advocated by ‘The Father of Our Nation- Mahatma Gandhi’.To remember him on this day they chose his favourite prayer – ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ to sing for the morning prayer. The students also celebrated the diversity of India by a small presentation on Tamil Nadu. The students conveyed the importance of having friends while keeping in mind the importance of having fewer but truthful and faithful friends.

Topic: Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Our First President

The students of class VIII-F chose this topic to show the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s lifespan. He was an eminent political leader and lawyer. He was one of those passionate individuals who gave up their lucrative professions to pursue a greater role of attaining freedom for his Motherland. He also took up the helm of designing the Constitution of our nascent nation. The students expressed this topic through a skit and performances including self-composed poem recitation and motivational thoughts. The main motive behind choosing this topic was to inspire the younger generation so that they can learn from such personalities and become successful in life. One must have faith in oneself, no matter what the situation. As is rightly said by Dr. Rajendra Prasad – “Nobody can push me aside.”
