Topic : “LOHRI AND MAKAR SANKRANTI”
The students of class VI E and VI F came together to revive the festive spirit of Lohri and Makar Sankranti with their Class Assembly held on 02 Feb 2023 in the AVH.
The event commenced with a melodious morning prayer sung by Ayan Alam, Adya Khanna, Yuvraj, Iris Ahlawat, Karman Singh, Gurleen Kaur, Mitali Bakshi, Mohammad Adyaan, Ankit, Dhuruv, Mishka, Saanvi Sawhney, Trishala and Saara. The comperes Ishaan Shrivastav, Zoya Kaur, Arav Mukherjee and Navya Mehta welcomed the audience with the vivacious spirit of the festivals. Adya Khanna and Viraaj Gupta shared their thoughts for the day in French and Sanskrit respectively. Speeches on the relevance of the festivals were delivered by Aniket Aggarwal and Vaanya Sharma. Akshainie Bedi, Satvik Gupta, Advit Gupta and Ishaan Gaur presented the news. A zestful song based on the tradition of kite-flying during this auspicious time was sung by the choir. Adding charm to this festivity, Aviral Nayyar, Saanvika Shrinivas, Samia, Anya Johri, Saanvi Singh Pawar, Ananya Singh, Arin Jha, Saatvika Arya and Kiara performed a Punjabi dance while Grisha Kaushik, Sanyam Singh Manak, Vamsi Singh, Mitali Bakshi, Kaavyansh and Pusan celebrated the tradition of the state of Uttarakhand by performing a beautiful dance on the famous, ‘Bedupaku’. Incorporating all of these awe-inspiring performances, a play was enacted by actors including Aniket Aggarwal, Lavika Kaur, Ashray Kaushik, Shimja, Vivaan, Navya Nandini and Nishchay which enthralled the audience.
The credit for the technical assistance goes to the team of Tushar Khandelwal and Saanvi Verma. E-invite, folders and invitation cards were prepared by Lav Singh, Kush Singh, Katyayani Chugh, Shimja, Navya Nandini and Vanya Sharma.
