Staying safe in the digital world is as important as staying safe in the physical one and at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, this belief is nurtured through a dedicated, ongoing initiative: the Cyber Security Awareness Programme under the visionary leadership of Principal Mr. Anil Kumar, this program is held on the first Wednesday of every month, ensuring that our students remain informed, alert, and responsible digital citizens throughout the year.
The initiative is driven by the school’s Cybex Club, under the dedicated guidance of Club Incharge Ms. Sarika Kaushal, whose continued efforts have made cyber safety education an integral part of school life.
The most recent session, held on 15th July, brought together students across all grade levels through engaging, age-appropriate activities designed to build real-world cyber awareness. Here is a look at how each grade participated:
Spot the Cyber Scam — Grades VI & VII
Young learners turned detectives for the day! Students brought news cutouts featuring fake emails, fraudulent WhatsApp messages, suspicious QR codes, and too-good-to-be-true shopping offers. Using these, they created vibrant collages on chart paper and A3 sheets learning to visually identify the warning signs of common online scams.
Cyber Safety Pledge Tree — Grades VIII & X
Creativity met commitment as students crafted colorful paper leaves for the “Cyber Safety Pledge Tree.” After a guided discussion with their teachers on five essential cyber safety habits, each student inscribed a personal promise onto their leaf planting the seeds of responsible online behavior, one pledge at a time.
Cyber Kindness Hero vs. Cyberbully — Grade IX
Grade IX students explored the powerful contrast between kindness and cruelty online. Through original poster designs, they championed respectful communication, empathy, and positivity in digital spaces while taking a firm stand against trolling and cyberbullying.
Digital Manners Quiz — Grades XI & XII
Our senior students put their knowledge to the test with a fun and interactive quiz covering cyber hygiene, password security, and safe online conduct reinforcing the practical habits every responsible digital citizen needs.
