TOPIC: “EVERY FRAME TELLS A STORY”
Television plays a crucial role in shaping modern culture and society. The Assembly does not just mark the celebration of the tool itself but emphasizes the larger philosophy of communication, globalization, and the far-reaching influence television has on the world today. Each channel represents a culture, a history and a way of life. These channels connect people to their roots and traditions. To celebrate this, the UN has declared 21st of November as ”World Television Day”.
On Friday, the 20th of December 2024, the students of class XI-G and XI-H presented their lively, humorous assembly that paid tribute to the golden era of Indian television, its iconic shows, and its impact on viewers across generations on the topic “Every frame tells a story”. The whole assembly was woven thread by thread into an extended skit.
The day started with the auspicious morning prayer by Ashutosh, Soumya, Abhinav, Om Shankar, Vaibhav, Shayona, Ekagra, Aditi, Soham Dutta Roy, Namya, Vaibhav and Samriddhi followed by the chanting of a shloka by Shayona with its meaning by Devansh. A graceful vandana dedicated to Lord Krishna was presented by Raksham, Samreen and Bhoomi.
The skit creatively interwove thoughts, news, choir, poetry, and dance. It featured Aarush, Samarthya, Iksimrat, Kartavya, and Kanav. The exhilarating skit was composed and edited by Advaith, Riddhiman, Anuvrat Lal, Shivesh, Shayona, Ekagra and Prakhar with the compères being Anuvrat Lal, Kashvi, Sabyasachi, and Numair. Various segments included a Naptol ad, performed by Riddhiman and Advaith, a news parody by Shivesh and Rishit Aggarwal , a talent show hosted by Advaith and Haireet, and an RBI ad featuring Sohum Jain, Faguni and Goutam. The latest news updates were presented to the audience by Anika, Adwitiya, Mohanjit, and Satya. Insightful thoughts were shared by Soham Dutta Roy, Goutam, K Sornapureesan, Vansh, Abhinav, Azrael, Diljeet, and Rupesh. An energetic dance performance was presented by Samdisha, Jasmine, Adrika, Harshit, Palak, Ashwika, and K Sornapureesan. The digital presentation was created and presented by Soham Panda and Daksh, while the e-invite was designed by Manvik and Ahaan. The beautiful cards, folders, and softboard were crafted by Diti, Esha, Yashvi, Kartavya, and Faguni. A soulful musical performance featuring an orchestra and song was presented by Ahaan, Vedant, and Rishit on guitar, Iksimrat on drums, Ekagra and Tishya on keyboard, and Satya, Samarthya, Saisha, Samdisha, Abhinav, Aditi, Shayona, Soham, and Namya as vocalists. This was followed by self-composed poems by Nihaal, Agrani, and Prakhar. The event concluded with a panel discussion on World Television Day by Esha, Saisha, Diti, Aradhya, Rishit, and Syed Murtaza.
The assembly was also filled with funny anecdotes and references to the most-watched clips, making everyone chuckle as they reminisced about their favorite shows.
