The Shri Ram school, Moulsari hosted its 14th annual Shri Debate competition from the 23rd to 28th July 2014.
There were 4 rounds – The Preliminary, Quarter finals, Semi finals and the Finals. The preliminary, which consisted of three debates, and the quarter finals, consisting of one debate, were held in the Modified Cambridge style. The semi finals and finals, each consisting of one debate, were held in the Parliamentary format.15 schools participated from all over India, and DPS RK Puram was declared the winner. Our school won a total of 11 trophies- 2 best speaker and 2 second best speaker trophies for Dhwani Nagpal (12-O) , 3 best speaker and 1 second best speaker trophies for Ragini Khuarana (12-V), 2 second best speaker trophies for Abhiraj Ray (12-V) and the best team trophy.
Our students made history by winning the Shri Debate for the first time in 14 years.
