Topic-  International Olympic Day

“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.”

With this quote as the central thought the students presented their perceptions about The International Olympic Day. The class presentation commenced with Dev Bajaj welcoming the audience followed by a poem recited by Nipun Kumar celebrating the day. Yagya Sharma presented   his views on the topic followed by a soulful prayer by Vidhi Mehta. After this, Vidhi Batheja, Priya Gupta and Mayra Agarwal presented inspiring thoughts stating the importance of sports and sportsmanship. Anirudh Trivedi and Dhriti Kaushal enunciated the core values and paragons of Olympics. Manas Sood presented a beautiful quote on the significance of participating in sports. Ridhi Kakkar recited a beautiful self composed poem about the importance of the Olympic Games. Shrish Pujari accentuated the importance of sports through his short speech that highlighted the fact ‘Sports are about those incredible moments where sheer human will and desire overcomes the odds.’ The class presentation concluded with a self composed poem by Shreyansh Agarwal that emphasized the qualities of a true sportsman.The vote of thanks was delivered by Abe Nehra. The creative invite was designed by Maanvi Singh and the power point presentation was created by Dev Tanwar and Mohammad Haneef Rahman.

Topic: PHYSICAL WELL BEING: KHWABON KI UDAAN

The class presentation of VIII F  tried to reiterate the fact that if we are physically fit then only we can fulfill our dreams.A  healthy mind stays in a healthy body. Sports are a major tool to keep us physically fit. We also learn many other values from sports.The presentation started with Aarav Gupta welcoming all. This was followed by a  prayer by Shravya Kumar and Shabad by Samreen Kaur. The thought for the day was presented by Aryaveer Dewan. Jiya Chaudhary, Maira Adil  and Hritika Choudhary expressed their views on the topic. The presentation ended with the vote of thanks proposed  by Samdisha Singh. The art work for invite and PPT slides was done by Aarush Kapoor.

Topic: When Words Fail, Music Speaks 

There is music all around us; the world is full of it. But, what we need to do is simply take in as much as we require. We don’t sing because we’re happy; we’re happy because we sing.”

The Class Presentation began with a shloka recited by Arshia Datta, followed by the morning prayer, the beautiful composition “Payoji maine”, sung by Anika Rastogi and Auparna Chandra. Anusha Ratna and Shobit Goel then spoke of the significance of the World Music Day which is celebrated on June 21 every year. Speaking soulful words from his heart, next was Aryan Saraf giving words to emotions, in a  self composed poem with Dev Pratap Singh playing the guitar. To shower positivity and hope, Chakshu Sharma and Vibhuti Bora shared thoughts for the day. Next were Auparna Chandraa, Riddhi Sahaye and Vinayak Narayanan, singing a musical medley that would drown us in music, helping us feel that music was not just the soundtrack of our life, but life itself. Anuva Agarwal, Arshika Singh, Nandini Gupta, Vedant Shukla and Vidhi Choudhary were the next performers. Their words were woven together to inspire everyone to use music to surf the waves of life. The class presentation came to an end with the comperes Saanvi Sekhri and Arshia Datta delivering the vote of thanks.  Supporting from behind the scenes were Sneha Purohit (Google Presentation), Vidhi Choudhary (audio compilation and E-invite), Saanvi Sekhri (audio compilation) and Auparna Chandra (audio compilation).

Topic: “Sometimes a Change of Perspective is all it Takes to See the Light” Dan Brown 

Celebrating Change of Perspective towards Environment to Conserve Nature

The way we treat our environment is determined by how we view it. It’s never the situation that’s at fault. It’s the way we choose to view it. It’s on us  to discover what an opportunity is. The class presentation was based on a similar topic, a theme advocated by Mahatma Gandhi who aptly said, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.”   

The presentation commenced with a welcome note by Praanjal Arora. Thereafter, Anushree Singh, Anushka Goyal and Sanskruti Gupta sang  a soulful prayer followed by a Hymn recital by Alyssa Nagrath and a Sanskrit Shlok recital by Naitik Jain. The thought for the day was delivered by Krish Anand. Ananya Kathuria eloquently spoke on the need for Nature Conservation and Anushka Gautam enlightened the listeners with her speech on ‘Change of Perspective.’ Anhad Sood and Diya Kandhari recited a self composed motivational poem. Alyssa Nagrath sang a melodious rendition of ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus with Rohan Sareen and Priyansh Gupta rendering music to the song. Priyansh Gupta and Rohan sareen concluded the presentation with a fervent instrumental medley. The vote of thanks was delivered by Tulip Mittal. Anhad Sood and Tulip Mittal prepared the google slides and the e-invites. The audio editing and overall compilation was done by Manassva Garg and Aditya Rohit Bansal.
