Visit to Tribal Art Exhibition at Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum

On Thursday, 12 December 2024, a group of 28 Art students from Classes 9 and 11 embarked on an educational and enriching visit to a Tribal Art Exhibition organised by the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, accompanied by their teachers, Mr Amit Rajput,Art Department and Ms Zoya Bilal Qureshi, Universities Guidance Counselor. 

The exhibition highlighted the deep connection tribal communities have with nature.The ethos these communities have like living in harmony with forests for centuries, play a critical role in conservation.Their unique relationship with forests and wildlife and their efforts and sacrifices in preserving natural ecosystems was expressed exquisitely through paintings.This learning experience provided a unique opportunity for students to explore India’s rich history, art and culture. 

The Tribal Art exhibition, in particular, showcased the diversity and richness of India’s indigenous cultures. The museum’s vast collection of artifacts, artworks, and memorabilia left the students in awe. A guided tour of the museum helped students contextualize the invaluable exhibits and gain a deeper understanding of the country’s history and heritage. 

One of the highlights of the visit was the retrospective exhibition on the lives of Indian Presidents. Students gained valuable insights into the lives and times of India’s leaders, from the National freedom Movement to the present day. 

The visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum was an unforgettable experience for the students. With its vast collection of artifacts, artworks, and exhibitions, the museum provided a unique and enriching learning experience that will stay with the students for a long time.
