A visit to Gandhi Smriti was organised for students of Class VIII in the month of April 2018. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise the students with the life and contributions of the Father of the Nation. The students were shown a film covering some important events of the National Movement such as the Dandi March led by Mahatma Gandhi. They were taken around by guides to see the exhibition depicting various stages of his life, starting from his early life in Porbundar, student life in England, as a lawyer in South Africa and the movements led by him in India. Students were also taken to the site where he fell to the assassin’s bullets.
