The topic of the value for the month of August was Courtesy. Quotes on the topic were put up on the boards. Class teachers spoke about inculcating the value with the help of gestures, role play, narrating personal experiences etc. Courtesy as a value was taken up by the Work Experience teachers too. Acts such as gratitude, apologising for misadventures, setting the furniture right, helping an injured student to the clinic etcetera, express the small courtesies in school life and public life. Courtesy makes life sweet. The student’s participation in displaying the value of courtesy was praiseworthy.
Class VII
Class teachers felt committed to display and inculcate this value in the students. Courtesy is rare in the contemporary world but holds much importance in our lives. Teachers nurtured small acts like being apologetic, being thankful, helping an injured student in the field etcetera. Instances were related towards the value; quotes were put up on the boards too to reinforce the value of courtesy. The student’s effort towards displaying this value was praiseworthy.
Class VI
Class teachers and subject teachers committed to inculcate this value in the students. Teachers emphasized upon the value of small acts like being apologetic, being thankful, helping an injured student in the sports field. Stories exemplifying the value were shared in the class. Students read and discussed poetry on the topic courtesy. They put up short skits related to the same in their theatre classes as well. Students put up quotations and posters on the boards to reinforce the value of courtesy.
