THE ALL INDIA INTER-SCHOOL AAJ TAK HINDI DEBATE

Vasant Valley School, Vasant Vihar organised the All India Inter-School Aaj Tak Hindi Debate on 4th and 5th August 2016 in which around 80 students from 27 schools participated.The schools were divided into 7 groups for round one. Schools in each group competed against each other and had an Oxford style-debate where each team was given 30 minutes for preparation and 3 minutes per speaker. Only seven teams qualified for the second round. DPS R.K. Puram qualified for the second round and Uday Bansal of DPS R.K. Puram won the Best Speaker Award in his group.

In Round 2, the Turncoat Debate, two speakers each from 7 schools took part. DPS R.K. Puram and Gyan Bharati School qualified for the third and the final round. Uday Bansal of DPS R.K. Puram won the Best Speaker Award in this round as well.

In the final round, a Parliamentary Debate, the two teams which qualified were Gyan Bharati School and DPS R.K. Puram. Aaj Tak’s Deputy Editor, Ms.Anjana Om Kashyap was the chief guest. Gyan Bharati School won the debate and Uday Bansal of DPS R.K. Puram won the Best Speaker award in the final round as well.
Uday Bansal (XI-O), Anveshika Sahi(XI-W) and Niket Krishna Khadgawat(XI-E) participated in the debate from DPS RK Puram and got second position for the school.
