The students of Expressions Theatre Club bagged 3 prizes at the inter-school theatre meet ‘TagFest’, organised by Tagore International School, East of Kailash on 30th August, 2017. They competed against more than 12 schools from all over Delhi-NCR.
The street play team won the first prize in the ‘Nukkad Natak’ event with their engagingly energetic and soulful performance on the theme ‘Jeevan ke umang, Navras ke sang’. The team comprised of 10 students : Gayatri Raghunandan (XII-X), Mohammad Osaid (XII-T), Zaina Ali (XII-U), Aaryan Veer Kapoor (XI-T), Aryaman Gupta (XI-T), Aryan Ahuja (XI-V), Avichal Chopra (XI-P), Isha Arora (XI-T), Niramya Harsh (XI-J) and Saanya Singh (XI-U).
Shiv Sethi (X-L) secured the first position in the ‘Soliloquy’ event for playing the role of Juliet and was appreciated for his innovative approach to the theme.
The first runners up prize was secured in the ‘Creator and Creations’ event, where the team brought the interaction between the Author and its Characters in the form of a play. The team was of 3 students: Arundhati Jain (XI-T), Chitra Tewari (XI-J) and Sara Singh (XI-X) were appreciated for the characters portrayed and the unique concept.
