Delhi Public School, Mathura Road organized the Annual Inter-DPS Environment Festival on Saturday, 7 December 2013 with the theme ‘In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks’.
The chief guest for the Valedictory Programme was Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission.
Mr Ashok Chandra, Chairman of the DPS Society, Rear Admiral M.M. Chopra and Dr.(Ms) Sharada Nayak, Members DPS Society graced the occasion along with Mr M.I. Hussain, Principal, DPS Mathura Road and our Principal Dr. D. R. Saini.
The students of R. K. Puram participated in the online and onsite activities and were awarded in different categories. In the Hindi Poetry Writing Competition ‘Expressions’ Harshita Priyadarshani of Class XI won the First Prize while Angelina Dash of Class VIII won the Second Prize in English Poetry Writing on the topic ‘Nature in service of mankind’
Abhiraj and Adya Saxena of Class XI earned a ‘Special mention’ as delegates of Russia in the Discussion Forum- EnvironMUNt on the topic ‘Importance of protecting life and living environment’
The Exhibits ‘Terrarium’ by Saumya Umashankar and ‘Zero Energy Development’ by Chetna Chhabra and Shreya of Class XI were appreciated by one and all. The students were selected and trained by Ms Niva Chhonkar and Ms Kusum Yadav.
