JOB PROFILE – AI Instructor
Role Overview
The AI Instructor will lead the AI Innovation Lab at DPS, empowering students from Class 6 onwards with foundational and advanced AI skills. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and fostering innovation through hands-on projects, research, competitions, and interdisciplinary applications. The instructor will also support faculty development and get support from industry partners like VVDN Technologies and Google Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver AI/ML-focused workshops and courses (beginner to advanced levels) aligned with the Lab’s curriculum.
Mentor students in projects, hackathons, and competitions, guiding them to build real-world AI solutions.
Facilitate AI Explorers Club and AI Research Incubator for younger and advanced learners.
Integrate Google Cloud Skill Boost, Agentspace, and AI APIs into student projects.
Collaborate with teachers to embed AI concepts into multiple subjects (science, humanities, art).
Organize guest speaker sessions and industry interactions to expose students to real-world AI applications.
Ensure responsible AI practices, covering ethics, bias mitigation, and safe digital exploration.
Support teacher training and provide mentorship for faculty adoption of AI tools.
Prepare progress reports on student learning, projects, and lab activities for school leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.
Proficiency in Python programming and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Vertex AI, etc.).
Experience in teaching, mentoring, or training students (preferably school or undergraduate level).
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage students of varying age groups.
Passion for STEM education, problem-solving, and project-based learning.
Familiarity with Google Cloud Skill Boost, AI APIs, and Agentspace is desirable.
Preferred Experience
Industry-recognized certifications in AI/ML (e.g., Google Cloud, Coursera, Microsoft).
Hands-on experience in AI projects, research, or published work.
