School Road Safety Awareness Campaign 2017-18

The Delhi Traffic Police organised a School Road Safety Awareness Campaign 2017-18, spread over a period of 4 months from October 2017 to January 2018. It had a participation of 12 lakh students from around 1200 schools.

Under the campaign, The Traffic Police organised a Range Level Painting Competition and an All Delhi Inter School Essay Writing Competition on 4 and 6 December 2017 respectively at Vidya Bhawan Mahavidyalaya, Lodhi Estate.

Farhaan Hasan Khan of XI H won First Prize in Range Level Painting Competition (Senior Category) and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000.
Shorya Gupta of VI J won First Prize in Range Level Painting Competition ( Middle Category) along with a cash prize of Rs 5000.
The finals of the painting competition will be held in January 2018 at the National level.

Sanskriti Chandel of XI B and Syed Momin Iqbal of XII B secured the Second and the Third positions in the Essay Writing Competition (Senior Category ) and received cash prizes of Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively.

The winners were felicitated at the Award Ceremony held at Teen Murti Bhavan Auditorium on 14 December, 2017 by Mr. Dependra Pathak, Special Commissioner Of Traffic Police. Ms Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner Of Traffic Police and various sponsors and police officers also graced the occasion.
