A state level Western Music competition was held at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar on the 24 August, 2017. Eighteen schools from around the state participated in the competition. The Competition consisted of two categories: Band and Duet.
- The duet song was performed by Raj Bakshi XI K and Shloke Meresh XI T Shrey Gupta XII P on the guitar. They sang ‘Boxer’ by Simon and Garfunkle and bagged the second position.
- The band consisted of a five-member team Vedant Shandilya XI H (Vocal), Dev Taneja XII Q (Lead Guitar), Lakshaya Grover XII M (Bass), Rishabh Jain XII O(Keyboard), Aryaman Kiri XII X (Drums) who performed ‘Lines in the Sand’ by Dream Theatre and were awarded Best Bassist, Best Lead Guitarist and Best Drummer of the competition.
The team from D.P.S R.K.Puram was declared the overall winners and were given the trophy for the same.
