Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi organised a State Level Interschool Poetry and Story Writing Competition on 17 February, 2018 at Ravindra Bhavan, New Delhi.
A total of 26 students from DPS R K Puram ,accompanied by Mrs. Fatma Kirmani ( Incharge, Samvaad Hind Club) and Dr. P. Chinna ,participated in the event. There were around 1000 students in the Senior and Junior Categories from various schools of Delhi.
5 students of DPS R K Puram won the prizes in both the categories:
- Syed Momin Iqbal XII-B (Chief Editor,Hindi Editorial Board ) 1st prize Poetry Writing (Senior Category)
- Neha Gautam XI-X – 3rd prize Poetry Writing (Senior Category)
- Swarnika Bhardwaj VI- E 2nd prize Poetry Writing (Junior Category)
- Kanishka VI-C – 3rd prize Poetry Writing (Junior Category)
- Aarya Shrivastav VI-C – 3rd prize Poetry Writing (Junior Category)
There were cash prizes of Rs.1000, 800 and 600 for the first, second and third positions respectively. The winners were awarded with special Merit Certificates. Participation Certificates were provided to all the participants.
