Delhi Toppers in JEE Main miss 100 percentile score by a whisker



JEE Main Session 1 Delhi State Topper
Ashmit Nangia of Delhi Public School RK Puram 2021-22 batch stood first in Delhi in the first session of the JEE Mains Exam held in June 2022. He secured an NTA score of 99.9984506 in the prestigious exam in which roughly 8 lakh students appeared from across the country.

BUDDING WRITER: ‘THE GAMES OF GOD – THE GENESIS OF A CHEF D’OEUVRE BY ANAY SETH
Anay Seth of X M has published his first book, ‘The Games Of God: The Genesis Of A Chef d’oeuvre’. He finally got the time to reflect upon his views and reproduce them on paper during the pandemic. The story is about how God, when stuck in difficult situations, resolves those problems while abiding by the rules of moral ethics. The book is for people who enjoy both mythology and fiction. The cover of the book has been digitally designed by Anay himself. The book is available on the Pencil app and Amazon.

THIRD PLACE IN THE REAL WORLD DESIGN CHALLENGE 2022
| Members of ‘Roboknights’ club of Delhi Public School R.K.Puram participated in the Real World Design Challenge 2022 and won the third place in the National Level. Pratye Aggarwal(Class 11, 2021-2022),Yashas Gogna(Class 11, 2021-2022), Anubhav Choudhery (Class 11, 2021-2022), Adi Mathur (Class 10, 2021-2022) and Garv Jain (Class 10, 2021-2022) were members of the team in round 1 that qualified for round 2. Tanmay Singhal (Class 12, 2021-2022), Anubhav Choudhery (Class 11, 2021-2022), Ayush Daga (Class 11, 2021-2022), Adi Mathur (Class 10, 2021-2022), Garv Jain (Class 10, 2021-2022) and S Shrikirti (Class 9, 2021-2022) represented the team in round 2. Shashwat Raj (Class 12,2021-2022), Advitya Singhal (Class 12,2021-2022) and Yash Jha (Class 12, 2021-2022) were the student mentors of the team who shared their experience from the previous year’s competition. International Yoga Day 2022
The 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY) will be celebrated on 21st June 2022. The worldwide acceptance of Yoga is a matter of pride for our country, as Yoga is an integral part of our cultural and spiritual heritage. Yoga is a 5,000-year-old tradition from India that combines physical, mental and spiritual pursuits to achieve harmony of the body and mind. On December 11 in 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. The declaration came at the behest of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his address to the UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014 wherein he stated: “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature”. In Suggesting June 21, which is the Summer Solstice, as the International Day of Yoga, Narendra Modi had said: “the date is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world.”



DPS RKP Topper 2016 Batch Shagun Batra Tops NEET PG 2022
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate or NEET PG 2022 results were released on Wednesday in record time. DPS RK Puram Topper of 2016 batch Dr Shagun Batra secured the top rank across the country in the prestigious Postgraduate Examination.
Dr Shagun Batra did her MBBS studies from the Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi. This was her very first attempt at NEET PG. Coming from a non-medical family background,
Congratulations to her on this great achievement!


CLASS IX VIRTUAL ORIENTATION PROGRAMME(2022-23)
A Virtual Orientation programme was organized for the parents of class IX students on Friday 29th April 2022.
The purpose of the Orientation Programme was to introduce the parents to the respective class teachers and subject teachers as well as to introduce them to the curriculum of the various subjects.
The Headmistress, Ms Rashmi Malhotra addressed the parents and advised them to ensure that their wards attend all classes regularly and follow a routine in tough times.She emphasized on the importance of the discipline to be followed while attending classes. The class representatives spoke about the rules and Covid appropriate behaviour, which was followed by the class teachers explaining the code of conduct to the parents. Each subject teacher, thereafter introduced herself and gave a brief introduction of their subject along with providing information about the text-books to be referred, course content etc, for the same. The session ended with the class teachers thanking the parents for participating enthusiastically in the programme and understanding the ethos of the school.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME GRADE VI
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.
The Orientation Programme for Grade VI was organised by Delhi Public School, RK Puram on 1 April 2022. This was attended by the parents of Grade VI, Sections A-K. It led to the first interaction between the teachers and the parents. It began with the introduction of the Class Teacher and the Subject Teachers of the respective section. The parents were oriented to the school rules, discipline, assessment system, subjects, Covid norms and various other pertinent details. The Grade VI Reps and the Supervisor, Ms. Vinita Gupta welcomed the students and wished them well for the new academic session.

The Open House for all sections of Class VI was held on 25th May 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. It began with an informative session on ‘Essentials of Cyber Safety and Security’ which was conducted by Mr. Mukesh.
This was followed by a session with the School principal, Ms. Padma Srinivasan who enlightened the parents with some important aspects of parenting. The Principal’s message was a validation of all the values that must be inculcated in children at home and at school. The session was concluded with ‘Vote of Thanks’ delivered by the Supervisor, Ms. Vinita Gupta.
The Open House emphasized on having a meaningful interaction between the parents and the subject teachers. Parents were appreciative of the efforts made by the school and all the teachers. It was a fruitful day as they were provided with an opportunity to share suggestions and resolve their queries.
